Question about Pioneer CDJ-100 Turntable

1 Answer

Player skips to the next track

Hi There,
my Pioneer cdj 100 sometimes suddenly jumps to the next track during playback. This behavior increased more and more. Sometimes it skips more than one track forward, but always one by one.
So I suppose it could be a broken button. But pressing "feels" normal and the button and contacts look ok. Could it be a problem with the processor or should I just replace the button ?

Half an hour ago the player was still working fine. Now it's impossible to eject cd's and the player itself gets confused cause the cue goes on and off by itself and playback skips. HELP

The CD drive in your CDJ is hunting for the disc, i.e it has become difficult for the player to read the disc. Keep your ears next to the loading slot after inserting a CD, you will hear a motor spin up then slow down then spin up again and if this continues the system will lock out the eject function. Or else the disc will come flying out!!. Either you need lens cleaning ( try a cleaning kit ) or replacement ( If the player has crossed over 500 hours of use )

My Pioneer CDJ-100 suddenly stopped playing discs. It ejects the disc or it wont start. I managed to force start by fast forwarding the disc but it kept skipping

Hi there, you please let us know your complete problem. Did you get any error message on that time or you insert discs.

Try to open your deck (if you can, otherwise take that to expert one) and remove dirt or any outside particle if, you see.

May be this is disc read error.

Player jumps back to previous track for no reason

Have you tried cleaning the lens out? Invest in a good quality CD cleaner. IF this does not solve your problem, then you more than likely have damage to the reader, and will need to be replaced.

Could be either the Track skip switch has collapsed and is thus over sensative or the button bank is broken and the track skip switch is being pressed when the cue button is used.
Could also have liquid spillage on the circuit board which cause all sorts of random problems
