Question about Dishwashers

1 Answer

INDESIT IDL505 DISHWASHER(2nd hand working fine for 3 months) started to notice some light/slight streaking, misting especially glasses(annoying but not to much of a problem) then about two weeks later heavy streaking, glasses totally misted completely did have a brief problem with water inlet solenoid but checked it and its working properly (only malfunctioned once) i refilled the salt container and put on a simple wash and found that it used about half the salt in the container, changed the hard water setting on the salt container ,-,middle ect made no difference, also the rinse aid container was still quite full (even though it should have run down by now}and was diluted (as if water had somehow got in to it so i drained it and refilled it)checked its solenoid and the rinse aid compartment operation and it was working fine the only conclution i can come to is the water softener unit solenoid is malfunctioning but i checked the operation of this solenoid and it was working

My daughter has just bought a 2nd hand dishwasher Indesit IDL 530 it's ok but she has noticed a small leak at the front of the machine. It only seems to leak when machine is standing when it's washing it's...

I would check the rubber seal around the base of the unit on the door.
Make sure its clean as dirt in it can cause a bad seal.

Also check when you open the door to see if water drips out.

Tilt your washer forwards. Water will leak from the front but once this has cleared your dishwasher should be ok again. I paid an engineer to come and tell me this. If your dishwasher is not completely level this can sometimes happen. Hope this helps.

Indesit D167. When cycle selected no water pumping or filling but 1 & 2 green indicators on.

Tilt your dishwasher forwards. Be aware that water will come out ouf the bottom. Once this is clear your washer should be Ok.
Good Luck
