Check the dell website for support and drivers for your computer. go to www.dell.com and put your service tag into the proper section.

You either have the wrong driver for your network card or the network card is not functioning. You need to be sure the card is seated properly in the card slot first.
Chedk the device manager to see if the network card is recongnized. Go to your My Computer icon, right click and go to properties and then the hardware tab.
Look under network cards and see if you card is visible and if the driver is loaded for this card. If the card is there, try to download an updated driver for your network card.

I hope that you find this information helpful, if so, please leave feedback for me.

Thank You,

Brian .

I cannot connect to internet because my computer was remastered and trhe computer does not recognise my router and is telling me to install a driver

I Figure your using a USB lead from your router to your computer. You will need to download the USB interface driver from the Belkin web site. Otherwise, if the router has a ethernet jack, then use a patch cable to your computer (ethernet port) eliminating the need for a driver

I cant install my router. The internet, power, WLAN, and DMZ lights are all on, but none of the Ethernet port lights are on, but when I try to complete the install I get the following error message: Unable...

If the ethernet light is not coming that means your router is not detecting your computer. Try to plug the computer on any other port.

To check if your ethernet ports are fine you can perform a loop back test. You can take a cable which is not connected to anything. Than put one end of the cable to one ethernet port and put other end of that same cable to any other ethernet port. If the light on the ethernet ports led up means your ports are fine and u need to reinsatll the drivers of the ethernet card on your computer. Else your routers ethernet port are not functioning. If that is the case you can try to reset the router.

Let me know your finding.

**If this works please rate else let me know in case of further help.**

No modem recognition, lights appear alternately then repeats.

1. Unplug the router for 1 minute then plug it back to the power and try you connection.
2. check with your ISP to see if you have proper connectivity with them.
3. if so, go through the basic setup for you router
4. check the manufacturer site to see if you have firmware updates or if the router has come to what is call "end of life" and is no longer supported.

Wlan lights off and now wirless access

Does your computer say Network cable unplugged?
If the wlan light is off, it means that your computer is not being detected by your router. You can try unplugging and replugging the ethernet cable at the back of the computer. Make sure that you hear a 'click' when you plug it back in to make sure tha it is properly seated. Check also the light on the wan port (desktops usually have lights..not sure about laptops though).
Do the same process with the ethernet cable but now from the other end--the one connected to the modem/router. if your modem/router have other ports on it, try to connect it to other ports as well. If you're wan light is still off, try using a different ethernet cable.
what's wrong with your wireless access? i can't read it from the title.

Hi,
Go to the manufacturers' website of the Network card, They will have the driver for your card.
Copy it to your desktop.

Then use device manager to update the driver,

Control panel, system, device manager, network adaptors, click in here, driver tab, now update the driver, browse your Pc for it, it's on your desktop.
Should be good.

Hope this helps

Blackout in my house, Xbox 360 ethernet port broken!

All the message means is it can't find the internet, so your internet must have went down.. your systems should still be working fine. I don't know much about using usb for ethernet, but that sounds like it would work no problem.

2300 router not sending signal or allowing flow to computer

First unplug router, turn off computer. Then plug ethernet into router then power up. Allow time for router to recognise internet connection and boot up completely. Then plug second ethernet into computer then power up computer. Allow enough time for the router to recognise computer and the computer to recognise router. You should be able to access internet within a few minutes. If not you might want to verify that the router is not outdated and fully functioning.
