I have the same problem. I have just got a new washing machine and it happens all the time. Even cleaning the filter everytime I wash doesn't help. I have tried half loads, fast spin, slow spin, warm wash, cold wash, more washing liquid, less washing liquid, soap powder instead of liquid..........

Even when the filter has been cleaned, and all pockets are empty, Dark trousers come out coated in fluff.

HI, TRY LOCATING THE FILTER AND CLEAN IT. OFTEN WHEN THE FILTER IS DIRTY THIS PROBLEM HAPPENS.

My washing smells after a wash, but the washing machine drum does not smell.

A solution from the internet: Make a boil wash (with no clothes and detergents) put into the powder drawer a cup of bicarbonate of soda. It should clean the machine and move out the bad smell. Another: I have a front loading machine also and am not willing to have to constantly clean out the machine; the soap and fabric softeners you use are building up between the inner and outer drums (and on the drum itself sometimes). Because the machines door is so tightly sealed (to prevent water leakage) the smell from this buildup is awful. I finally found the solution. MAGGIE'S SOAP NUTS -- they are all natural (grow on trees) and will remove the grime from your drum and also clean your clothes (you won't even need fabric softener anymore). Stop using commercial detergents and fabric softeners and start using Maggie's Soap Nuts. They are not very cheap but they work great -- I have found that making a liquid out of the soap nuts and storing it in a bottle works better than putting them in the sack cloth they come with (because front loaders do not agitate constantly like regular machines, the cloth bag sits on the clothes and sometimes leaves a stain -- the liquid will not leave a stain. YOU WILL SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM AND HAVE SOFTER CLOTHES TO BOOT (without fabric softener so you save some money there). They are also better for septic tanks, the environment and your health! I believe Whole Foods sells them and they are also on the internet at www.Maggiessoapnuts.com Note: Also go to www.newstarget.com -- they are going to buy these in bulk to cut the cost in half but don't have them yet. You should be able to buy them there soon. Note: Forgot to tell you to run some of this thru your machine with hot water before washing your clothing to clean out the buildup that is already in the machine.

I have a LG Fuzzy logic for a year and a half now, model WF-8071TTP top loader. it seems that after washing all my clothes are full of fluff. I have cleaned out the filter bag, and all little filters at...

certain materials give off fluff and some others seem to attract it. you can try putting in similar materials together and avoid mixing turkish bath towels, blankets and jackets and such clothes having fluffy lining with normal clothes. Also try selecting higher water level (overriding the automatic selection) manually. Once when i had fluff on clothes, it turned out to be tissue paper from my child's jeans pockets. After cleaning the filter bag, run the machine empty at maximum water level every week. Hope one of these will help solve your problem.

Do the cloths seem like they are more than just damp when you take them out? At that age it may be in need of a new drive belt as the machine ages the belt stretches. You might also try washing smaller loads. Let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

The washing machine fills and then empty without running a

Without more info, brand, model, age, etc. I will still try and help you. If you wish to provide more details than I can give you a better help description. With the info you have provided I can only give you the most common oprobable causes.

The machine will fill and discharge but the drum won't turn.

Most motors on washing machines today are fitted with carbon brushes. The carbon brush is the most common reason for failure of motor action. Check carbon brush for wear and replace if necessary. The drive belt may have come off the pulley. Check and if necessary replace. The bearings may have gone out in the drum - causing the belt to have come off. Check and replace bearings. Component failure in order:- 1. Belt 2.carbon brushes. 3. motor. 4. timer. 5. lid switch, selector switch, module. (depends on age and brand),

Finally, Perhaps something is caught in the trap at the bottom. There may be a plug. If not than removal is the only option. Check for lodged clothing items, or excessive lint build up. One thing I would do before removing the trap is make sure that all the water has drained from the machine - It you don't it will flood the floor. Check for lodged clothing or excessive lint build up.
