The power is not coming on. I check the power source and its ok. In the bottom left corner there is a flashing green object which looks like a camera accross from the XD as of a few weeks ago the printing quality is very poor. There is a new ink cartridge in the machane.

HP 6310 - second 6310 this has happened on. The camera icon light is flashing. Power light off. Going through the power reset procedure has no affect. Spent an hour with HP Support, but they were unable to resolve.

Unplugged the printer; tried to power up holding the # and 3 and # 6 and * and 3 and * and 6 during power up.

I am having the same exact problem. I spent over an hour on chat with hp tech support and he was clueless. He had me remove and clean cartridges and several other usless suggestions. He finally dumped me off. Obviously, this is a bug of some kind with this printer. Somebody please help.

Printer worked just fine. Moved it to another area, plugged it in and get he Reset Power flashing message. Tried everything I knew or heard to do. No luck. Any known fix yet?

Same bloody problem with my 6310. Obvious flaw in the system and HP doesn't take ownership of the problem. Thanks guys. Buy another one? As if.

Having the identical problem. I started periodically and seemed to originally be paired with the printing of a document from my intuit software. I would continue to press cancel as it powered up and it worked fine again. The problem continued with all documents that I attempted to print and now does it everytime I reset power or attempt to reboot. The power light, auto answer light, Quality light, and camer light all blink in unison with the Reset Power message flashing? I haven't tried hp suppoprt but its not looking good based on the other 8 posts having the same problem.

This is the same problem I am having...I have tried all of the above...

  • tadao Aug 31, 2008

The 6310 was working fine, and all of a sudden, many lamps started to blink and the display showed "Reset Power". I reset power, replaced cartridge, checked paper jam, unplugged the power cable, reboot with pressing #3 but they didn't help.

    same exact problem :(

  • newprov Nov 13, 2008

Exactly the same problem. Called HP Tech Help, but problem was not resolved. Once in a while it will print one page, but then starts 'acting up' and lighting up. I was able to fax OK, but not copy or print from my computer. HELP

Having the same, flashing "Reset Power".

I got it some months ago, tried everyting mentioned here. After leaving it for a night without power (at all) it suddenly worked again.

    Now the same..... :-((

HP can't tell anything but to send it in (well thanks no !)

Since I also had to experience HP has locked the use of large(r) cartridges (same size but more ink), my next one will NOT be a HP !

  • Samchoi Feb 18, 2009

    Exact the same problem.

    "Reset power" message.

After reset power, nothing happens except the light on the USB port is blinking.

This afternoon the power went out in my home office and after it was restored my 7410 All-in-One printer stopped functioning (bought it in 2005). I've unplugged and plugged back in and all I get is a blue screen on the digital monitor with a circle with a line at twelve o'clock and the number 00000020 on the bottom. Also the camera light near the slots for the memory cards flashes on and off. No other lights turn on. (Earlier the digital monitor just showed the HP logo and a sort of linear hour glass at the bottom). The start button doesn't work, not even if I press for a long time. Is there any way I can manually reset the printer? Please help. I need to get out a presentation tomorrow! Many thanks.

HP DesignJet 110 - will not move cutter after job is printed

for paper cut, you should see the printer properties, there you can fine Auto Cut paper Check box or some thing like that. Make the correct setting, then it will work.

My HP Officejet J4680 states that there is a cartridge jam. How do I fix this?

this issue is a little tricky as the unit may think there is a paper jam
first make sure the craddle - where the ink cartridge sit - can move freely, if it can then look for any bits of paper that may be stuck around it or in the machine, clean the rollers on the rear access door of the unit as well.
if the error message doesnt clear out then try the next step
If the carriage chute will not move then disconnect the power cord press and hold # 3 at the same time and as holding those 2 buttons re connect the power cord. if the carriage fails to move upon reset then you have a carriage jam and your printer needs servicing

HP 6000 Won't print with yellow cartridge

Try this :

Take out the power cable from the back of the printer keep on tapping the power button for 30 secs ; then plug it back.
Take out the catridges clean them with a Lint free cloth (copper contacts); also clean the catridge slot of the printer; put in back the catridges ;
Unplug the power cable from the back of the printer; press and hol down the (#) and the (6) button simultaneously with one hand and with the other hand put in back the power cable; and then release the (#) and (6) button;
It will perform a reset on the printer
IF still then it doesn't work then the catridge slot's copper contacts has gone bad and need to replace

Print cradle cannot move error

hi,

this seems to be a hardware problem..... anyway try this...

> unplug the powerchord
> open the rear access door, and check whether there is any paper jammed or any bit of paper or thread stuck inside.... if so remove it
> clean the rollers using a lint free cloth
> close the rear access door
> open the door so that you will get full access to the cartridges...
> move the cartridges to and fro for several times manually with your hand
> close the door
> plug the power chord
> try again to copy multiple pages

thanks and regards

Did you take the little plastic strip off of the ink cartridges that protects the connectors?
