The clock will not set at all. I've read the manual and cannot find a solution. I've unplugged it, tried the auto setting, etc. Nothing seems to work.

Have the same problem with the clock. Ironically, it started February of 2008 also. Got this model when it first became available and never had a problem until this. Loved the way it worked, so I just bought another one. This time, I only spend $50.00 for it!

Anybody try to leave the clock on auto-set option and plug it into a cable line so that it auto-updates?

The clock is hosed and probably never worked on these models...it just sits there, it's like there is no clock crystal or whatever they use these days in DVDR's...

BTW: You can get these untis realy cheap on eBay and probably for that very reason-probably recycled units being sold...

You can record manualy ok with them.

Funai Corp. dropped the ball to get these quickly to market...so sad !!

I CANNOT FINALIZE DVD

This may be a little late but I just got off the phone with customer support. Once you have recorded the program you need to hit stop twice for the finalizing menu to come up. If you only hit it once you will get the disc menu with no option to finalize!!!
I know that this worked for us, I hope that it works for all of you :)

Dvd 10d6 one touch timer recording

MAGNAVOX DVD RECORDER MODEL # MWR10D6: Is a piece of junk. Yet another worthless waste material and rescources. In other words they or someone else could have taken the materials and energy used to assymble this thing and used it for some other appliance or device that would actually work. This thing is so worthless that it was environmentally irresponsible for the manufactures to even make it. Now all it's good for is filling landfills.

My suggestion is to do as I am right now and go onto any and every forum, or message board you know about and warn as many people as you can away from this piece of junk and the SCAM that is being perpatrated by Magnavox and whoever else helped them cook up this scam.

I've even made space for a photo of it and description of how sorry it works on both my myspace.com and facebook.com pages.

Magnavox DVD recorder #MWR10D6

Oh my god this thing is a piece-o-junk. It seemed to work just fine until about time the 90 day warranty ran out. The for some reason it started turning itself on and off without a timer program being set or anything. I did this every day at exactly 12:00 am and 12:00 pm. I should have known something was going bananas with it, but it still did everything else it was suppose to. Then it became impossible to set proper recording timer programs because the clock settings won't activate. It's like the internal clock is stuck or someting. Tried to get help from Magnavox and Wal-Mart, but like I said, it's outside the 90 day warranty now. What I suggest you do is the same as what I'm doing now. Tell as many people as you can and warn them away from this product, this company, and the scam-job they are running with this worthless piece of plastic.
