Question about Pioneer CDJ-800 Turntable
If a new laser does not work, there should be a small ball of solder applied at the factory shorting the static sensitive laser diode. Find that and unsolder it after grounding yourself and your soldering pen.

If you replaced the tray yourself, then more than likely you did not remove the solder bridge that the manufacturer puts in place to protect the part from damage in shipping.

For me exactly the same problem! I also tried the new part in my second player and it stil didn't work. Can sombody tell wat the problem is, or what mistake i made?

I have the same problem. I have replaced a new laser plus the unit. I have desoldered the anti static bridge on the laser. But still it won't spin the cd nirmal abd read the cd.
Somebody has an idea?
