Hi Ashley,

There is one way... SAFE MODE! (Got to love Safe Mode)

http://www.davidtan.org/hacking-cracking-windows-xp-login-password/

Hacking Windows XP Login Password 1. Restart your computer and keep pressing F8.
2. From the menu, select boot in safe mode with command prompt.
3. once you're at the command prompt, type "net users" (without quotes)
4. You will see a list of usernames. Pick the username that you are using and type "net users username *" (without quotes, replace username with a real username from that username list)
5. You will be asked to enter a new password and a second reconfirmation.
6. Press enter and you will be told that your username password has been changed successfully.

How to make windows installer work in safe mode

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} Windows Installer will not work under Safe Mode, this means that programs cannot be installed or uninstalled in safe mode without giving a specific command using msiexec in command prompt.

To make Windows Installer work under safe mode, you need to create a registry entry for every type of safe mode you are logged in to.
  1. Safe Mode.
Type this in a command prompt:
REG ADD "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control
\SafeBoot\Minimal\MSIServer" /VE /T REG_SZ /F /D "Service"
and then net start msiserver This will start the Windows Installer Service.
  1. Safe Mode with Network
REG ADD "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control
\SafeBoot\Network\MSIServer" /VE /T REG_SZ /F /D "Service"
and followed by net start msiserver This will start the Windows Installer Service.

How to open a forget password and username on password

Step 1: Enter Safe Mode

a) Start or re-start your computer.

b) Before the Windows 7 loading screen appears, Press 'F8? to enter Advanced Boot Options.

c) Use arrows to choose 'Safe Mode' when you can see the Advanced Boot Options screen.

d) Press 'Enter' and wait for Windows 7 files to load.

e) Log on with an administrator account when you can see the log on screen

Note: Well, when you are presented with the Advanced Boot Options screen, there are 3 types of Safe Mode. They are the Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking and Safe Mode with Command Prompt, and the 3 options are all available for you. Here above we take Safe Mode as an example, but if you choose Safe Mode with Command Prompt, you'll need to input related to command prompt to reset the password.

Step 2: Reset the forgotten Windows login password in Windows 7

Now you could diagnose and solve some serious computer problems in the safe mode and reset the forgotten Windows login password in Windows 7 as follows:

1. Click 'Start' button, input 'lusrmgr.msc' into the Search box and press 'Enter'.

2. In the 'Local Users and Groups screen', click 'Users'.

3. Right-click the account that you need to reset the password for, and then click 'Set Password'.

4. Type and confirm the new password, click 'OK'. (You can go to 'Local Users and Groups' screen by right-clicking 'Computer' to select 'Manage' on desktop.)

Step 3: Log on your password protected PC again with the new password since you have successfully performed Windows password reset for Windows 7.

Go to the safe mode option then once there go to start-run-then type in MSCONFIG then go to system recovery then go to recovery for an earlier time. This will reset your Windows to an earlier time you may be able to salvage it without having to re-install the operating system. F8 also will bring you to "Safe Mode" if not do it through the Dos command screen. If this does not work then you might consider re-installing Windows again. John

Cant login to computer because I forgot the admin password. i can sign in as guest with limited access.please help me

Boot your computer into Safe Mode. It sometimes varies, but the typical way on most WinXP

based machines is to strike the F8 key during P.O.S.T. Once the drivers load you need to

access the Command Prompt. START / ALL PROGRAMS / ACCESSORIES / COMMAND

PROMPT. A new window will appear.

At command prompt, type "control userpasswords2" and press Enter to open the Windows 2000-style User Accounts application.

On the Users tab, clear the Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To Use This Computer check box and then click OK.

In the Automatically Log On dialog box that appears, type the user name and password for the account you want to be
logged on each time you start your computer.

This is also an opportunity to set a new Administrator password.
