LG KU990 mms & browser settings for tmobile

I am not able to recieve mms or use browser on my phone. I got it to work before, but for some reason, it is no longer working.

I spent hours on the phone with Tmobile tech support for unlocked phones and then another several hours at a tmobile store, and still nothing. They actually had me do a master reset and I thought I lost everything for a period of time. I am going to contact lg directly, I don't know what else to do.

Just got me a LG KU990 recently and I had to program the MMS Settings manually as well. I have T-Mobile. And this worked for me.

STEP 1) Main Menu (4 Dots on main screen) >Settings > Phone Settings > Connectivity > Access Points

T-Mobile should have automatically sent you a free text message that allows you to install/download some settings if not, from Access Points, go to Options > Add New

Then enter the following information:

Connection Title: WAP Settings_OTA

Bearer:GPRS

Authentication:PAP

Username:(LEAVE BLANK)

Password:(LEAVE BLANK)

APN: epc.tmobile.com

Save it.

STEP 2) Go to Messaging > Settings > Multimedia Message >
Multi Msg Centre > Options > Add New

Title:MMS Settings

MMSC URL:http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc

MMS Proxy:216.155.165.50:8080

Connection Mode: TCP with Proxy

Access Point: WAP Settings_OT
(from Step 1)

Save it. And it should work. If not, go the the T-Mobile website. Hope it works out.

Hi this is common problem you have 2 options the first and easyiest is to contact your service provider and they will send you the setting via a text message this will update your phone to the correct settings the other way is goto your service providers web site and on it you should find a link to send the settings to your phone not all companys have this feature yet but contacting them by phone will solve your problem.
When they send you a txt msg it will automatically update your phone for you and then you will have no problems let me know how you get on ok

Hi try this link type it in your browser
    http://support.t-mobile.com/knowbase/roo...
Look at that page and it tells you that you can send the settings to your phone also if you goto t-mobile home page you can type in need internet settings and then click ok this will take you to the page with the settings on then either send them to your phone or just copy them into your browser setting.
If you still have problems let me know and ill assist you further ok

To ladyxsandra,
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS SOLUTION. I've spoken with t-mobile many times and they had walked me through the above process many times, only with several different codes and always without an MMS proxy code, and always having me mark TCP without proxy instead of TCP with proxy as above. Then I got the run around saying to contact LG for the solution and LG made it very clear that the code is dependent upon the network provider. So now that I have the solution, i realize that LG was right and that T-mobile just may not want to give out the proper code that uses a proxy for whatever reason (beyond wanting you to purchase their crappy phones). Anyway, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!!!!!!!

HI jcosby007 Ok you need to get to the menu settings on the phone. Power cycling really doesn't help you in this case. Once you get to mms settings you need to hit the options. In the options it should give you a viewing options for your messages. You need to set it to time and make sure it doesn't say contacts. Also make sure that the phone isn't block by att from recieving mms txts. those are picture messages. Hope this help
