I do not understand what bearing you are referring to, but the entire saw can be found here:
HusqvarnaUSA.com
http://www.husqvarna.com/us/homeowner/support/download-manuals/
Enter the 3 digit model number (no XPs, Es, just the numbers)
Serial number decode – useful when downloading IPLs and Manuals
06 1500198
06 = year produced – 2006 (single digit before 2000)
15 = week produced - March
00198 = 198th unit Husky produced that week

To satisfy my curiosity please reply below with the serial number, which detail and index number for the defective part. TIA Lou

Where can i buy a carburator kit for a 346xp chainsaw

you need the numbers off the carb. It will be stamped into the carb body. once you have these numbers see a dealer and they will sell you a kit.

346XP Husqvarna chainsaw acts like its seized then after a few minutes turns over fine and starts.whats wrong?

It has run too lean for a while and the piston and rings are damaged. The piston is probably picked up and grows with heat enough to partially seize when hot, frees off when it cools down. It needs a new piston and rings set. If you are lucky the bore is not too badly damaged and may go again with a new piston. When/if you get it fixed make the mixture (air:fuel) richer and check you have enough oil in the fuel.

Fuel tank vent hose routing on a husqvarna 353 without the primer bulb

The early 353 had a breather made up of two small,round white tablets that just pushed into the tank, the later breather was a white plug with a hose connection on the outside, there was nothing on this connection, the pro saw 346XP had a pipe on the connection which came up through the crankcase floor along side the fuel hose and pushed onto a hose connection to the r/h side of the carb.

I have a husqvarna 350 chain saw the muffler bolts come loose almost every time i use it can i use lock tight on the bolt?

you can use loctite but make sure it is a high heat or it will just get hot and break down and leave you in the same boat.

is it possible the deco valve on the side of the cylinder is stuck open or leaking all the time, this might account for the whistling noise.

Which is the fastest cutting chain saw,,, the 346xp or the 550xp?

Since the 550 xp is a bigger motor than the 346 xp and the chain kerf is about the same, then more horsepower equates to faster cutting

Husqvarna 234G chainsaw requires overhaul where do I start

You have to understand that this is quite an old saw, so some parts may be no longer available, when you say over haul how far do you want to go? if the big end and main bearings are ok, i would leave well alone, maybe a new piston ring, or piston if it is still obtainable, rebuild the carb with new diaphrams, new plug, new fuel filter, check out the anti vibration rubbers, if there is ecesive movement then replace them, check the condition of the brake band in the brake.

Brand new Husqvarna 346xp oiled, fueled, ready to go and will not start. Any suggestions? I have followed all instructions and am not new to saws.

Return the saw to the dealer and have them start it. If they can't, then warranty service or replacement is necessary. Otherwise, they can correct whatever you might be doing wrong. Hope this helps!

How do you get to the oil pump assy. on a Husqvarna 346xp chainsaw? I am having problems keeping an oil pump in this saw.

The oiler and worm gear are behind the outboard clutch:

  1. Check the IPL for your saw to see if any special tools are needed.
  2. There are metal piston stops available, when square (almost never) with the piston top these work well, if not square they have been known to punch through the piston. I suggest a length of starter cord or nylon rope be used instead of the piston stop (retain 6" ± so you can remove it). Make sure the piston is near the top of the cylinder before feeding the cord or it can fall through the exhaust port and damage the piston as it rises.
  3. Everyone I have ever removed had a left handed thread (tighten it to loosen it).
Detail B on the IPL here:
