The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Just about any photo viewer/editor should be able to display this information.
To print this information, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

Is there a way to select a group of pictures on the camera and give them all the same date and/or time stamp?
No
Each JPG will show the date on which it was taken, but not on the photo, it will show it on your computer under the column "date picture taken"

You can download one of the utilities that is specifically meant to put dates on photos, such as DateMeNow:
http://www.ketara.ca/date-photos.html
The advantage is that you have a large number of configurable options, and that usually these utilities can process a number of photos with a single click, even for photos of different sizes.
SOURCE: does this camera have a date stamp
All modern digital cameras record the date somewhere in the image file, and the S700 is no exception. However, the S700 cannot superimpose the date on images. You can print or save images with the date inserted using "Picture Motion Browser".
You can download a copy of the manual from the manufacturer's web site at http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-documents.pl?mdl=DSCS700

The camera does not have a feature for stamping dates onto the photographs, but the information is stored with every picture. Just about any photo viewing program should be able to display it. Depending on the program and printer, you can choose to print the date on the picture, in the margins, or on the back. Please refer to the documentation for whatever program you use to print.
