To much power went through the xbox can it be fixed.

Most likely you blew the power supply in the xbox. Hopefully that is all you destroyed. You can still buy them on the web and ebay. They are not hard to change.

You might have hurt the mother board of the xbox, but you will not know until you open it up or replace the power supply. Most likely you only hurt the power supply. The pop noise you herd is most likely some compacitors. If you herd a pop and then you smelt a very bad oder, then you did blow some compacitors. If this is the case, look at the power supply first.
