Question about Daewoo DP42SM 42 in. HD-Ready Plasma Television

Daewoo DP42SM coloring missing blue tint on dvd playback only

I had my dvd player hooked onto daewoo DP42SM thru avi ports and they were fine {about 2 years), and then oneday the screen started going blurry while on play back. it would play fine and then blurry, and then back to fine, and then to blurry.
i thought maybe it was cables, so i changed those, and then i thought it was the dvd player, so i changed that too, and still the same problem.
my xbox 360 hooked thru component cable was fine, except that it always needed warm up time, so i hooked up the new dvd player thru component ports and the blurry lines are gone except when i turn it on it displays "no signal" on the port of rabout 10 minutes before freezing the screen; at which point i circle thru different inputs and then it comes on.
now after all that when it does come on my coloring is all screwed up. it looks as if i'm missing all colors of Blues on the screen; coloring is all red and green.
through all this the xbox screen shows no change.
any ideas?
anyone?

I don't know are you familiar with electronic,if you are you can fix it by yourself. The problem is in video process board, the one in metal cage. What you need to do is to remove the board from the set, remove the cage, then to replace all SMD capacitors!!!And do not put SMD as replacement put the normal capacitors same values they can be fited. You should aslo replace capacitors at the PSU and check 170V,160V and 70V and adjust them after the replacement.PSU is easy part but the video board is tricky one but it can be done

Yes there is a lot of soldering specialy with the SMDs.Be very carefull when removing the old ones you can damage print connections and then you can only replace the whole board and its not cheep.I use two solder guns heating both legs of the capacitor at the same time. You can find pars in any electronic part shop.take a piece of paper write down the values and qty-s.I did one last week and it costed me 30euros for parts and about three hours to replace them

Hook up to dvd player

There are more than two methods of hooking up the DVD player.
1) Get a 5pin component cable with Red, Green & Blue pins. Connect the DVD Player's RGB out pins to the TV's RGB in socket. This will take care of the picture. Then for sound you will need the secondbobhifi_4.jpg set of Red & White cable. Connect the Red & White pins to the DVD players audio out socket (Red for right channel and White for Left channel ). The other end of the cable you can connect to the Red & White socket next to the RGB socket where you have connected the Video. Play a DVD and scroll through the inputs slowly. You will see the picture appear on one of your selections.

Dvd color mostly blue and pink, colors look weird

try connecting thru an hdmi cable from your dvd player to your tv, check the colors then.. I'd say you have crossed your component cables.. match the connector letters a/b/x? and plug them in one after each other.

My sony lcd tv looks like it is missing a color, everything is green and blue what could the problem be?

What do you mean green and blue? Are you missing red? Are you hooked up through component cables? Check the component cables.

Tried hooking up the DVD player and get no sound & the color is really bad. I have the red, blue & green hook up am I missing something?

You have component cables from your description. Make sure that each one is in the right slot on both the DVD output and the TV input. As for the audio, the component cables do not carry audio, so you need to hook up audio out from the DVD player to audio in on the TV. Usually red and white RCA jacks for audio plugged into their respective color coordinated ports. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Blue picture

Be sure if you are using the 3 wire video (component input) that the green blue and red wires are connected correctly on DVD player and tv. If these are switched around or all three are not connected correctly you will get an off color picture. Do not confuse SINGLE WIRE (yellow composite video) with the 3 wire coponent or progressive scan inputs .

How do you put Videos on The Creative Zen Mosaic MP3

well, creative zen likes avi, mpg and wmv formats

the reason that your creative zen won't read the avi is because the necessary codec is missed.

you can use iorgsoft creative zen video converter to convert the video to mp4,wmv then put them to creative zen.

if you want to put DVD onto creative Zen, fine, you can use iOrgsoft DVD to Creative Zen converter to remove the DRM(Digital Right Management) and regional restriaction from DVD, and you can also use it to convert DVD to avi, wmv or mpg for playback on creative zen.

Here are the settings:

BD 1080p 24hz Output (HDMI): On (this TV can reproduce video at 48hz for accurate 2:2 pulldown)

Take time to get used to the settings, you may think the screen looks dull at first. The truth is most people have way too much contrast on their TVs.
These settings will also work for Cable or Dish hookups, in which case you may change the Noise Reduction option to Medium to reduce signal noise.

DVD playback color

When passing the video signal thru a VCR on the way to the TV, you are activating the DVD's "Macrovision" copy protection.  You need to hook it directly to the TV.
