Remove the needle plate, you should be able to spot the broken end of needle by pulling on threads jammed underneath. If you have to use something to pick it out, be gentle. You do not want to damage the mechanism. You could always try a magnet.

If you can't figure it out, take it back to retailer. As a courtesy, they are usually pretty good at helping new owners out of a "jam".

if it' still under warrenty take it back and get another..if it's not under warrenty, try a new needle, make sure the top thread is not coming off the thread take up lever, make sure the bobbin is turned the right way in the bobbin case, also could be a timing problem

Have a pfaff2036.wife was sewing and it jamed.how what

Try unplugging machine from wall. Remove the tread and needle.
Turn hand wheel backwards, the hook probably has a piece of thread jammed in the race. If you can turn backwards look for the small piece of thread remove it. New needle and rethread plug in and try again.

Was sewing a quilt together...machine was doing fine. Then it just stopped.. tried a different fabric and it sews fine

Try a different needle, you may have to the wrong size and your machine is working to hard to overcome it, maybe overheating.

The underside of the stitches are very loopy looks okay from the top side but the threads keeps catching underneath and jamming up the machine.

sounds like the bobbin is in backwards. Usually the bobbin thread is supposed to come off the bobbin in a counter-clockwise position going under a tension bar of somesort

Thread continues to jam

Hi, my wife and I just bought a Juki HZL-E80... I love the machine. I had a problem like you discribe...This problem can come from two sources...one the bobin has been installed improperly. ...or been wound incorrectly by not haveing adjusted the Bobbin tension ...I did the tension adjustment with the screwdriver supplied with the machine accessories. Also...this is a biggie...the auto matic needle threader works great...but I discovered that when I preformed this function..that I over looked the thread holder that keeps the thread even with the needle....so, the solution is to thread the needle then be sure to check that the thread coming down from the spool is placed behind the little wire holder above the needle...I hope this helps you ...because it is a wonderful machine.....Bill & Donna Bramble...Caldwell Idaho...

Needle jamming, threads all screwed up underneath, tension change

Try another authorized Husqvarna Viking dealer. Sounds like the hook/needle timing is off or the hook height. Or you could ask them to ship it back to Viking for them to do the repair. Check the Husqvarna Viking website for another dealer closest to you. You also might want to report the company to Viking. They do have to adhere to certain standards in order to keep their dealership.

My Wife has the same sewing machine and exactly the same thingvhappend to it. I took it apart and the bearings on the main drive have seized up. The machine will work for 10mins or so and then it will seize up. There is no point trying to lubricate the bearings now (they looked as though they hadn't been lubricated when it left the factory) as the damage has been done.

I have been looking for parts for this machine, but it seems like they are not available. Incedently, reviews of this machine are pretty bad.
I guess, I am going to have to buy a new sewing machine for her.

Machine jammed my lock 644D

Undo the needle/s at the holder screw in needle arm and gently manouver any fabric out of the way ... enough to access the screw holding the needleplate on.....very gently try to loosen & remove the needle, needleplate and fabric in one bunch.........cut threads a few inches from the jam and try to ease the whole jam away from the needles and looper, you can then sort that mess out later........

During all these processes, Do Not pull or force anything as you may bend something or throw the timing out (if it is not already out)

Once all is clear, replace only the R needle at this stage and very slowly rotate the handwheel towards you and watch the motion carefully to ensure that there are no drastic collisions of loopers and needle.

If all appears well, re-thread and do a sample test.

If things are not so rosy, you may contact me via the "contact us" page at www.bargainbox.com.au and I shall see what can be done for you to reset the timing and clearances.......if you feel up to the challenge.
