New cordless phone..can't dial out...or pic...

Panasonic cordless phone KX-TG6051B
Phone rings...I speak into phone...can not pick up call. I go to dial out, get dial tone, dial number...then repeats dial tone again. Recording says Hang up and try your call again. Can not call out or pick up calls on this two phone system. Other phones in house work fine.
Phones were new at Christmas. Phones charged and plugged in. This problem started last evening. Any ideas???? Appreciate your help!

I have panasonic hands free telephone model no# KX-TG7321. Constantly engaged.I cannot dial out access messages etc....constant dial tone... my telephone in the bedroom which is not handsfree also shows as being 'engaged'.
Please help!!!!!! i AM NOT TOO TECHNICAL minded!!!

-   i have the same proble i got a dial tone but when i dial out it says i'm sorry your call can not be placed at this time please check the number and try again i have tried several numbers including my cell phone. it still does it. when someone calls me it just rings but not here on my phone . what causes this-   angelhege
