REF My entry 3/25/08. I just got back my SHARP XV-Z2000 from the service organization. They did not fully specify what they did, but what was on the repair ticket was "reprogrammed" the projector. When I re-installed the projected the counter was not set back to zero. I then used the manual and followed the instructions for "resetting the lamp timer" (making sure I again followed the instructions to the tee), and the lamp timer RESET to zero. I made sure that I had a blue screen, I then selected as follows:
ON --- INPUT --- UNDO --- < --- ENTER --- > --- ON
Make sure you "depress" the left arrow < -- then ENTER -- then right arrow >. Good Luck

hold down menu, enter, and down arrow, then press power. this is the only way to reset the lamp timer. if it won't turn on and there are no leds lit, you may have to reset the bimetal breaker. to do so, remove the 6 bottom screws and the top 2 screws on the back panel, and remove the top case. on the front side of the lamp housing, you will see a red button. press it. if it clicks, it is reset. if it doesn't, it wasn't tripped, and you have a power supply issue.
The instruction manual says that to reset the timer you have to hold down (simultaneously) the Menu button, then Enter button and the Down arrow...then press the Standby/On button on the projector. This worked the first time I replaced the bulb, but now that I've had to replace it again, its not working. Good Luck.
I replaced my lamp on my Projector MP510 after the projector shut down. I followed the instructions in the book to reset the projector but the projector shuts down all the time. Please can you help me HARRY
