Maytag Neptune out of balance on spin cycle

-   Won't spin on small loads, out of balance all the time ....have to wring the clothes by hand then add a towel then it will spin. Just a really poor design that ties your clothes in a knot.-   Guest

-   Oh boy, I have the same problem. We purchased this model in Sept. 2005. The authorized repair man said $800 to repair this thing. Can you believe it - $800????? So, I called Maytag, and there is currently no warranty for this repair, and no pending class action lawsuit on this model (only on the front loading Neptune). Maytag offered me a 15% discount towards another Maytag purchase. As if!!

Perhaps we should start a similar class action claim on this model. The participants in that claim at least received some compensation.-   Sheilah20s

-   I had mine repaired this morning and thought the cost was really high, $429.00! He said he had to put in a new board in the back.

-   Out of balance during spin cycle. Shakes house and is very loud.-   Patty T
