Question about Toshiba A15-S1292 Notebook
I have a toshiba a15-s1292 notebook, and I have no sound, the volume control button broke inside the laptap, which I cant seem to get out... How can I get some sound?
Open the laptop.. i have the same laptop and have had trouble with the sound for a while.. i finally opened it (its just a few screws) enough to gain access to the headphone port- which was bent allowing two pieces of metal to touch and thereby cuttin off my sound.. anyway, i bent the metal such that the curcuit wasn't cut off and it worked.. point of the story being this.. when i opened it and gained access to them port, i could easily see the volume control.. get it and put it in place or troubleshoot from there.. just make sure you're careful to unscrew all necessary screws.. there are some hidden ones under the hard drive and where the fan is located.

Try some headphones and turning the volume up and down in windows but the headphone jack as well as the Variable resistor being damaged might keep all from working.. We can fix if you need help.
