I have a 19" Emerson TV receiver whose original remote just quit working. I have the TV owner's manual, but it only describes the use of the remote. No code, or any way to program it.
I changed the batteries, but it didn't help.
If you can get me the remote code and the method that I need to program the code, it probably would solve all of my problems.
I'm willing to pay for your services.
Thank you in advance.

Hi, if you have some electronic/technical skills you can disassemble the remote, clean the keypad contacts with isopropyl alcohol and resolder the crystal (a little square shaped, orange/blue box), the transistor driving the IR LED and the IR Led. Test it by pointing the emitter to any video camera (it can be a cellphone camera). If you can see the IR beam in the camera, your remote is fine. If the beam isn't emmited from the remote, probably the key encoder/transmitter IC is defective.

With a universal remote control; you can't do anything related to service mode functions. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service centre, or authorized dealer to your device brand. They can either give you a genuine remote control to your device, or can direct you, from where can you purchase a suitable one.

Emerson EWC19T3 original remote control is no longer available. The only available now is the substitute remote control that provide similar functionality to the original one. Please click here to open the link in a new tab.
Hello It is very sorry to say that no universal remote controls are fully compactable with all the function to this set. You must have its original remote control to set all the functions. The original remote control to this set can be bought from the authorised service center for Emerson at your town. Its model number is (NH000UD). If you can get this model remote from anywhere other that service center, ie, form any local electronic sparepart selling shops, it's OK. Insist on the same model number. It is so important. Normally, remote control is an attached accessory with this set. OK.
if you have a universal remote control that you are trying to program . the newer ones have a 4 digit code .. the older ones have only a 3 digit code .. the ones with 3 digit codes often wont work with newer equipment ... the new type universal remotes cover a lot more types .. ... if you are trying to get the remote that came with the TV working .. then you can remove the batteries for 10 min .. when you put them back in it should default to original factory settings ..
Call 1 800 Remotes or go to www.remotes.com. In the middle of the page type in the model number which in your case would be VT1920. I believe the original remote is not available anymore but you can get a substitute remote for that TV. Also have you considered getting a universal remote? Those work on any TV with any component. Try the first two suggestions and hopefully you will find what you are looking for...
