I have an HP c4180 photo smart printer, when i plug it into the outlet nothing happens. No power nothing , i have already confirm that the adapter is working fine. when the adapter is being disconnected the power light flashes yellow.
can some one assist?

Try the resetting the printer to factory defaults.
Steps:
1.Turn the Printer OFF, unplug the power cabled from the back of the printer and from the wall outlet.
2.Then, Press and hold the ON button for 30 -60 seconds
3.Take
the Ink Cartridges out, Unplug the printer power cable while its ON,
press and hold CANCEL and COLOR COPY button and connect the Power cord
while holding the buttons.keep Holding the buttons until the printer
goes off ,release the button and Push the ON button.

I got it sorted out. Just have to purchase ink for it now.
Did you turn the power button on? nothing will happen just plugging it into the wall. im sure you did but sometimes....... :)

Printer will not turn on.Get a red flicker on power button when plugged back in.
The printer won't power up at all. The only indication that there is power is when you plug in or remove the adapter the light flicker orange. when it it plugged nothing comes on.
