My Sharp 56DR650 56'' RP TV will not turn on. It displays a blinking LED code, three greens and two reds, on the front of the TV. Upon investigation I have discovered it may be going into protection mode after receiving the wrong voltage from something attached to it. We disconnected and reconnected everything one at a time and the TV worked fine again last night. This morning the TV will not turn on again and flashed the same LED code. The bulb is new and the outlet has a built in circuit breaker and that is not blown so it is not the outlet or the bulb. We do not use HDMI, that port is broken, so all cables are component cables or RCA cables. We have satellite, DVD, xBox attached directly to the TV and a stereo receiver attached to the other peripherals. If anyone has any idea what could cause this, please, please help us! Thank you!!
Check the number of time it blinks. that is the error code and compare it with the problem listed in the owners manual. see www.fixurtvs.com. The code 32 means the color wheeel is getting stuck. You can try to clean it and put it back or look for a replacement. Repairs should cost you 350 to 450 at shop and 150-250 at home subject to the availability of parts. Cleaning it just a stop gap measure and not a lasting solution. dont worry if the wheel opens up into two with black dust inside. Just clean it put a drop of light machine oil like sewing machine and put it back. there will be hum but the wheel works for months and maybe a year. it varies from tv to tv and quality of your workmanship.
