Upon startup (Sharp AL-800) I keep getting an E-7 Error Code. Just prior to this problem I was attempting to change the exposure adjustment setting and may have pushed too many buttons (or the wrong ones). How can I reset my printer to factory settings. Help will be most appreciated Thank you, ESB

Try turning the printer off, and then unplugging it from the power supply. Leave it unplugged for about 5 minutes and then plug it back in and power it up. This may clear the error code.

Also, try pressing the COPY key when the error code comes up, there may be a sub-code that will be displayed and provide more information about the cause of the error.

  2. The display will go blank
  3. enter "14", press "PRNT"
