Sorry it took so long to reply to your problem. You must try to reset the Clock/Radio's microprocessor. To do this you must disconnect the Clock/Radio from the A/C power source and remove the internal battery. Let the Clock/Radio set without any power source for about 3 hours. This should completely drain all the power from the microprocessor. After this is done, reinsert the internal battery and plug the Clock/Radio into the A/C power source. The Clock/Radio's functions should return to normal. If they do not return to normal. Unplug the Clock/Radio from the A/C power source and remove the internal battery. Replace the internal Battery (CR2430). Let the Clock/Radio again drain all the power from the microprocessor. Insert the new battery and Plug the Clock/Radio into the A/C power source. The Clock/Radio's functions should return to normal. If you should still be having problem with the functions of the Clock/Radio, you will need to call Emerson Customer Support. The telephone number for Emerson Customer Support is 1-800-909-1240. Call them between the hours of 8am-4:30pm CT. Give them the make and model number of the Clock/Radio and ask them for assistance with your problem. I hope this information help you with your problem. How do I switch off the alarm on the Polaroid CR01 alarm clock?

I have just spent quite a while figuring this out. With the alarm/radio in the office state (just with the time and no radio or buzzer on) if you press the vol - alarm 1 button briefly it will flick through the current settings of the alarm 1. Whilst it is doing this press the vol - alarm 1 again and this turns alarm 1 off (the al1 light on the left of the time display should turn off to confirm that it has worked). For alarm 2 repeat the above steps but using the vol+ alarm 2 button. I had to share this as I could not find any answer or a manual on line.

I lost my manual in moving and not sure how to set the alarm. It worked a couple of times and then didn't.

There are several SmartSet units by Emerson. The manuals are here: http://www.emersonradio.com/owners/SmartSet%20Series/ .

For the CKS2000N, you set the alarm by pressing Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 (both are on the top, one to the left and the other to the right) then hold the button while you use the up or down arrows to adjust the wake time. Press and hold the Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 button and then press the Alarm Mode button to select the days of the week you want that alarm to ring (Weekdays, Weekends or Everyday).
Finally set the Alarm selector (on the left side at the back) switch for each alarm to Radio, Buzz or Off. If the alarn selector is off, the alarm will not ring.

I hope this helps.

Alarm doesn't work

I finally figured it out. I was setting the alarm for p.m., which isn't labeled such, instead of a.m., which is labeled. For example, the alarm might read "8:00", but that actually means 8:00 p.m.

press the Cancel button located on the top of the alarm clock (the light next to the wake mode indicator on the front of the clock should start flashing). Then press the WAKE Mode button on the top of the device. The wake mode indicator on the front should now be off and the alarm deactivated.

To turn the alarm back on, simply press the WAKE Mode button on the top of the device.

T307S How to deactivate the alarms

I lost my manual also so had to resort to relentless trial and error.
The problem with the alarm is that it is too easy to turn it on.
The 1 and 2 buttons on top of the unit with the alarm clock symbol turn each alarm on or off. Your only cue is on the display in the top line of the display which will have a bell followed by “RADIO” or “SOUNDS”, if the alarm is armed. If you see this symbol and want to disarm the alarm, press the 1 or 2 alarm button according to which alarm was on the display. It’s just as easy to turn the alarm back on either deliberately or accidently
Enter Alarm Setting mode by holding the 1 or 2 alarm button for about 2 seconds.
Display will flash – in this mode you will be able to do the following
Date Set Button – changes between Everyday/Mon-Fri/Sat-Sun
Arrow Buttons – adjust the time setting
Alarm 1 (Radio):
Mode Button – changes between AM/FM1/FM2
1-6 Buttons -- changes between stations
Alarm 2 (Sounds):
Mode Button – changes between SD1/SD2/SD3/SD4/Buzzer
If you don’t change any settings for about 5 seconds the unit exits the alarm setting mode.
Timex already has your money so I guess they are not motivated to publish their manual.
