I've been able to get my mutsy frame to close, but whenever the seat is attached the same techniques don't seem to work. I can't get it to close at all with the seat on. I've had practice on store models and had no problems, but can't seem to make my new one work. I love this pushchair and really want to make it work. I know it takes a bit of a knack, but can someone help me figure out why it should feel different with the chair attached. It's supposed to close with it.

Hi guys, I had this problem when I first got my urban rider - the trick is to put the seat on correctly in the first place. If you look under the front of the seat (when seat is facing away from mum/dad) you'll see 2 plastic hooks - these need to be hooked over the first horizontal bar of three that you can see (it has a small black plastic nobbly bit on it) then, as you were doing, push the handle and pull the 'tube'. If the seat is facing you (child travelling backwards) it won't fold, neither will it fold with the carry cot attached.
Hope this helps! Tegans mum x

Hi i have the mutsy urban rider. When i first got it i could not fold the frame down. You have to push the handle bar down quickly while pulling up the black tube on the left side. As my husband says you have to be a little rough with it. lol. So just try pushing the handle bar in quickly and it should work.

Frekkles is right. I called the woman who sold it and she contacted the company who had us check the plastic hooks to make sure they were in the right place. Once they were, I was able to put it down no problem with the seat attached.

Closing this stroller is a trick for sure.  make sure that when you go to fold it up with the chair on that the chair is in the full recline position - leg thing up and flat, back rest all the way back - then it should snap closed no problem. does anyone else find the swivel wheels kind of cheap and rickety?  it's almost as if the stroller is unbalanced and they are just spinning - kind of hard to believe i paid this much for this stroller...

You dont have to be rough. When you are pulling up the black tube and the handle bar down and it feels like it is in the end position push the handle bar, slow and with a little extra power, a little further and you will feel the fold-down position.

I received a replacement handle for my mutsy urban rider stroller, but cannot detach the broken one in order to replace it. how do you remove/replace a broken handle?

Remove the 5 screws from each seat holder clip. Remove half of the seat holder clip. Removing these will allow the handle to slide out. Hold the release button on the handle and pull the handle out of the frame.

How do i fold down the mutsy urban rider pushchair

Hi,

To fold the Mutsy Urban follow these steps:

Stand slightly to the left of the pram, but have the handle bar (with button depressed) in your right hand. Have your left hand on the black cuff (on the left hand leg of the chassis)
In one movement, push in the button on the handle (with your right hand) and move downwards, whilst pulling the cuff upwards (with your left hand). Do this quite firmly and the pram will then collapse. Make sure that the handle is in the lowest position after folding, ensuring that the pram is as small as possible.

I hope this helps.

How do i fold a mutsty urban rider?

On this site
http://www.twoleftfeet.co.uk/Mutsy_Urban_Rider.html#
it says that you need to pull thae safety bar up whilst pushing the push bar down to fold it. Then to open it again I presume you pull the push bar up and wait for the saftey bar to click into place. I have read that you may need to push the pushbar down quite hard whilst pulling the safety bar up.

I hope this helps
