Question about Barebone Systems

1 Answer

Canon Pixma photo printer had a bad printer jam. All ink was wasted, shredding the paper inside. We have all the paper out that we can see, replaced the ink cartridges with the Canon ink refills, except for "Photo" Cyan and "Photo" Magenta. Regular colours are all installed. Maintenance function performed and still cannot print properly. Lines across page (about 1/4 inch stripes) and the colour is completely off. Black prints as magenta. Yellows look greenish. Pages printing crooked.

Your cartriage is leaking ink, thats why it comes like.
Replace your cartraige immediatly if you are using a refill, it might not be refilled correctly.
Put the original one it will fix your problem.

Hello Landscapeman ,

You need to specify the paper type when the print dialog box appears. Heavy glossy paper needs to spend more time in the fuser so that the toner is fixed.

WE HAVE A CANON MP530 COLOR PRINTER. DURING A PRINTING OF LABELS, WE HAD A PAPER JAM, WHICH WAS CLEARED. WE ARE NOW GETTING A MESSAGE "U052" CONCERNING THE PRINT CARTRIDGES, WHICH WE CANNOT...

Pls chk thoroughly the inner parts are clear of any shreds of paper. Blow air thro vacuum cleaner. A small piece of paper sitting on a sensor can create this sort of problem. (For eg, the cartridge stops at both the ends after 'sensing' the end. If paper sticks here, it cant sense and will lead to a crash)

Paper jam

Have you checked your paper that is fed on the bay...maybe there's a foreign material that is present inside because most of the printers nowadays are very sensitive especially on dust that triggers to false positive detection to your computer.

If it does, try clean the bay.ok?

Waste tank near full

Hi
The waste ink take is actually just a felt pad that sits under the printer mechanism inside the case and absorbs the ink from your cleanings

Try this:
1 Power off printer
2 Hold RESUME button then press and hold POWER. (The beeper MAY sound once, or may not depending on your model.)
3 Hold POWER and Release RESUME.
4 Press RESUME twice then release both POWER and RESUME buttons.
5 When the indicator lights steady, press RESUME 4 times (for the S900, 3 times for the 8200 apparently).
6 Press power to set data.
7 Print away!

Let me know if that didnt solve your problem

Since I changed ink in my pixma mp 600, paper gets stuck in both feeders. I can not get it to print.

Go here. http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=116&modelid=13800#SupportDetailAct
Click on the Service & Support tab. Type in the search window: Paper does not feed through printer. Click search. Typed in Red you'll see, "Paper does not feed through printer". Click this link & follow the instructions.

Paper jam

I had a paper jam issue on mine and it was due to the fact that I had the door open on the back of the unit.

Stranger things have happened i guess :)

Canon

You prob have a few small pieces of photo paper jammed in the printer somewhere. Try to take something small that you can push through the printer to make sure there is nothing hidden jamming the printer.
