Question about HP PSC 2210 All-In-One InkJet Printer

HP PSC 2210xi all-in-one won't print....Please HELP!

I will try to print from my laptop to the 2210 all-in-one and it gets stuck in the print queue. When I go into printers & faxes, the queue shows Error......printing. I have used HP Print Diagnostic Utility (see below), talked to tech support and the solutions are the same: Uninstall and reinstall the printer & driver, turn printer off and on, unplug printer from laptop, unplug printer from electrical socket, etc. I have tried all of those things and it still won't work.

The Print Diagnostic Utility gives me the messages that there is a print queue problem, a connection issue, a printer status issue and a device manager issue. When I click on those, the fix button is not available so I can't fix the issues.

I was able to print for the past year on this printer, these problems just suddenly started. My husband uses the same printer and does not have these issues. I (and my husband) am using XP SP2. HP cannot solve the problem and I am at a loss of what to try next.

Does someone have any suggestions?????

I have the exact same problem with my HP OfficeJet 4315 All-in-One. Literally, exactly the same.

I talked to HP several times over several days and explained that I believed it was a device driver not completing the installation. I could not convince anyone to help me with the problem. They keep insisting that I have a hardware problem, even though my husband uses the same printer with no problem. If you have details on the manual process, let me know.

Exactly the same problem. Printer was working in the morning, had to use it on a different computer. When I plugged it back into the laptop, it wouldn't print. Kept getting a printing error. Uninstalled, reinstalled. Followed every repair step on the HP website. Used the print diagnostic utility. Still doesn't work. It is a print queue problem. It always says it fixes it, but it doesn't because it won't even do a test print. Looked at the problem log and it says that it had an error during the installation.

It is not a hardware problem. It is a print queue problem brought on by an incomplete installation. I have even reinstalled and updated drivers. Nothing is helping. BTW, I am running Windows Vista. That might be part of the problem with the installation.

I have the same problem with our HP Officejet J6450 All -in-one.

Like others, I am also running Vista.

What manual steps did you did to make the printer work?

I uninstalled the printer today and reinstalled it. Seems to be working far. Not sure how long it will last as I did the same thing a few months ago and the problem reoccurred. For now though, the tempory fix is worth it.

I had a problem downloading HP psc 2210 software from the internet after a reinstall of winxp. One of the device drivers was not completing its installation. HP support provide a troubleshoot process to fix the problem. This process is manual but did complete the installation of the device driver. The printer is working.

Does not print properly printing process run but after one or two line print it shows cartige jam/to make cartige alingment etc I have no operation manuals what can I do?

Hello there
You may not see a paper jam.

This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

You can download the manual from my website.

Hp psc 2210 all in one

You can download the drivers from HP's site here. You can also order a replacement for the cost of shipping from a link from this page.

If you are using Windows 98 or ME the drivers are no longer available from HP. In this case please post a comment here with your OS and we can try to find you a solution.
