Question about LG enV VX9900 Cellular Phone

LG enV with Verizon Wireless MobileWeb 2.0 Browser cannot access my email

I have not been able to resolve through Verizon Tech Support my issue of my LG enV cell phone being unable to access my particular email provider, even though my email provider has a website for checking email from anywhere. No problems through checking webmail through my laptop when traveling, but my MobileWeb browser can only get to the home page at www.centurytel.myway.com/ and then when I select check email I get an error message of "untrusted server certificate".

What can be done to fix this? Verizon tells me that this phone's browser cannot access the email due to the web-page being an unfriendly mobile environment. CenturyTel tells me they don't think it's their problem.

Who can fix this then?

I just got the enV and iam having the same problem. i cannot find any option to allow it to go through. but i think it will allow you to access aol, msn, yahoo accounts (or some provider like those) and iam going to set up a foward from my email to an account with one of those providers.

Unfortunately its being blocked by the phones web browser. this is a Verizon issue and they probably wont ever admit to it. check if theres an option when you get to that point, to allow it anyway. If not, your out of luck. at least your not having the problem im having with my envy.

I have a env touch and i dont have a data package or a texting plan do i need one of those to look at my email on the env touch

Accessing the email via your wireless hand held could be done in different ways. One could need an enterprise data package but the other one does not

1. Access of email via the internet browser of your phone.
2. Access your email via the mail client saved in your phone.

If you're connecting your phone via the access point of hot spot using the WiFi of the phone to gain internet access, then there's no need for you to have an enterprise data plan.

However, if you would like to connect to the internet via your wireless provider, then, you will need the enterprise data plan, so that you could have a reliable internet connection. And you could access your email account.

Email account can be accessible via Web mail or mail client of your phone. If you would like to set the mail client of your phone, you will need to decide whether to create a POP or an IMAP account.

You can also have additional info through your wireless provider.

Thank you and good luck!

I have an LG enV that was given to me. i called verizon wireless ( that's who i have service with and the same network that the enV ws previously on) and tried to set up service. verizon says that i need...

the default is always one of these code try them all the last four digits of the phonenumber last programmed in the phone aka your number or 9999,1234,4321,0000,1111 if none of those work you can go the retail store for a flash they hook it to the computer and push software to the phone to correct the issue it takes five mins and its free its a common issue for them to correct if you change your lock code from the default in the future always set up a dummy contact with it in there so that you can easily look it up also please vote for me I'm trying to work my way up to expert level and I cant without your vote please

the EnV is an exclusive verizon wireless phone. Unless it says cingular or AT&T on it, you cant use it.

No sound comes out of my LG ENV cellphone earpiece

This is a very-well known issue and defect. Documented by Verizon Wireless and by the manufacturer. There is supposedly a workaround, which is a simple as pressing the speaker key right next to the "CLR" key, however I have tried it on several phones to no avail. Recommend warranty replacement.

Putting Music on LG enV

If you buy an SD card for your phone, you can put it in your computer, transfer the songs you want over, and then put it in your phone. The music still plays through VCAST, but you don't have to pay. :]

Music option

You need to go to the verizon wireless page at verizonwireless.com, go to feature and downloads, ringbacktones, go to the over view page then sign in, go to the profile and where it says greeting, click on modify and choose no greeting.
