MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer. You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player will create a MP3 music file for each music track. As far as I know you cannot record music from your PC. You can however use recording software (like windows sound recorder) to record wave files (WMA) and upload these to your mp3 player. Most players have onboard converters to convert to mp3 whilst uploading. Or you can download mp3 files form the internet and upload to your player. If your player is not appearing in "My Computer" when connected to the USB port, you have a different set of problems which could require you to fromat the player to FAT32.
When you plug the mp3 player into the computer, look into 'my computer' and open the mp3 player. Then in another window open the folder that contains you music. After that you can just drag and drop the music from the music folder to the mp3 player folder.
yes you can your mp3 player can play both wma or mp3 types of format so if you have songs in your windows media player or you have a other sorce that you use to play your music with you can upload your music to your nextar,it should have came with a usb cable plug 1 end into your nextar and the other end into your computer to upload any of your downloaded music including any music that you have stored on your computer off cd's or and music that you got off the internet.
