Calibrate ds lite

If you would like to calibrate your screen...
Turn the DS on without a DS card inserted (or with auto mode turned off).
Then touch the DS icon in the bottom middle of the screen.
Press the far right yellow icon, with a crosshair in it.
You will then be taken to the calibrate screen.
Touch the small red squares on the screen as they appear.

Press confirm, exit menu.

My ds screen wont calibrate

try running a toothbrush around the edge of your screen a bit of dirt can throw off the calibration but its more likely that you will have to replace the touch screen. good luck

No target appears on the calibration screen

I just got one of these for my 4 yo daughter and had the same problem after 2 days. GOOD NEWS IS IT IS FIXED. The problem was crumbs stuck between the edges of the screen and the frame piece around the edge of the screen. I assume this was creatintg pressure in 2 places at once, confusing the screen/software and not showing a target on the calibration screen.

I used a toothpick to remove the visible crumbs, but if you have a can of compressed air used for computer cleaning, than that might be even a better idea. It seems that screen problems were chronic back in 2004, but no so much now. I learned about this here: http://www.watercoolergames.org/archives/000028.shtml

GOOD LUCK and post back if it works as it is simple and maybe some of the other people with problems have ths same simple issue.

Yes, you must replace the touch screen.

After you replace it you should calibrate the new screen

you can find this on ebay for about $6.00

My screen wont calibrate

Do you mean you calibrate the screen and you can never accept the changes?

The lower screen in the DS Lite is actually 3 pieces. The lower screen, then the touch screen on top of it and then a clear plastic cover on top of that. If you are very rough with stylus on the clear plastic and leave dents or gouges this will damage the touchscreen.

From your basic description the touch screen needs to be replaced.

UNABLE TO CALIBRATE TOUCH SCREEN

The only possible fix is to try to clean the edges of the screen in case any particles are trapped between the screen and the case, this can confuse the touch screen.

Do this with a soft toothbrush, it will not damage the screen.

If that doesnt work then in all likelihood the screen is broken, it can be replaced but this is not trivial. There are guides on the internet on how do do this.

Nintendo ds calibrating

Hi,
I`ne been working on my dauthers now for a few days.
I have found that in the calibrate screen, if i click the first point (top left), then click the second (bottom right), but instead if clicking the third (middle), i click 4 squares to the right. It puts me in to the test screen....... Now if i play around in the calibration screen, i can ajust where the points of contact happen. I have a feeling that its like a mirror, each one can be turned in different directions, reflecting where to pick up the stylist. If any one finds this help to them, and finds out what excatly what to do...... please, please can you leave a post, expaining what to do
