My Acer Aspire 5920 won't do a recovery

My Acer Aspire 5920 got the blue screen of death, I did a back up. Restarted after backups were complete. Came to pre decompressed state. Hardrive wiped out. Futureshop boys said I could boot up my recovery discs.
Did that. It came to a Type Mismatch pop up with Recovery 32 as the heading.
Now it won't even read my recovery discs, even in a reboot.
I don't know what I'm doing and I'm having a hard time...
What is a Type Mismatch???

BSOD is caused by hardware error or driver error. Disconnect all hardware except the basic. Motherboard, monitor, memory, hard drive. Unplug the wireless, cd/dvd drive.
Start the computer and see if the the BSOD returns. If not, one by one add components until you see the BSOD.
If you continue to see this screen without any hardware attached, then you most likely have an onboard component failing. (audio/video/memory failure)
Download and run the MS DART cd and check hardware starting with memory then hard drive.

This should determine what device is failing, except video or audio.
