Question about Alpine CDA-9883 CD Player
I purchase 6 alpine units over the last three years but i don t think i will ever buy one more because alpine support is really bad my new stereos 2 units i purchase for my kids cars show no song because alpine engineers fail to test and communicate with apple the manufacture of ipods i install my new unit them my son upgrade his 5th generation ipod software them after that it quit reading the ipod now it show no song i try talking to apple about reverting the software they said its not possible now alpine blames apple for the software upgrade witch it was release dec 07 i purchase the stereo 3 weeks before even know it was 08 model alpine advertise it ipod compatible witch is not plug and play there s no warning about what ipod software is compatible so i believe alpine may end up in litigation regarding this issue like apple did with their batteries early years if you can help it will be greatly appreciated since the manufacture is lost alpine thank you again but i feel a responsibility to warn people so they don t wasted there money on something that does not do what its advertise for
My ipods fuction fine with my Alpine CDA-9885 ... have you tried pressing the display button on the Alpine? The KCE-422i cable takes quite a beating ... You might check the cables.
