The light on the view screen is not working properly......it is very dim. I have tried it with plugging it in to an outlet and it still does not work right.

Check for power at the outlet where you plugged it in. Plug in a small lamp, if it doesn't light could be tripped breaker or blown fuse. I am assuming there is no switch for the outlet. With the lamp still plugged in and on plug in the grill and try to turn on. If the lamp goes off or dims noticeably, you have an electrical problem, contact your electrician. If the light does not dim and it does not get hot take to repair shop.
Do you have power at the outlets? If you do but the lights keep going dim then your converter is going bad or has already failed. Your lights are 12v and the outlets are 100v. If you do not have power at the outlets then you need to check the transfer switch that toggles between generator power and shore power.
Your outlet may need replacing. I have been replacing all the outlets here, the installer did not attach the power wires to the screw on the outlet, he just jammed them into a hole in it, the lazy way.
Plug something into the same outlet, if it runs slow or dim, that's your problem.
Turn off the breaker before you mess with an outlet.
If the Power supply LED dims and flickers its either your motherboard circuit has been cut or there is a short in the laptop. The AC adapter is not the cause.
Try this:
Remove the battery, then press power button to drain all the current, then re-install battery and plug to adapter.
If that doesn't work, then it's most likely the motherboard.
So two different devices, each with their own charger, don't work in different power outlets in different rooms? How about if you plug a light into the same outlet. Does the light work? Does it dim when you plug the charger into the laptop? If so you have a bad electrical system, either a loose wire or bad outlet.
It sounds like it could be one of the following issues:
1. Bad wiring to the bathroom receptacle - this should be a GFCI outlet.
2. There is an overload somewhere on the same circuit - try the dryer with nothing else turned on.
3. The hair dryer may be bad or have a bad cord, plug, etc. Hair dryers can also become plugged (the air inlet screen) and overheat.
4. There could be loose or other bad wiring somewhere in the circuit.
If you are not familiar with working with electricity, it would be best to call a qualified electrician. They are the pros and can correct the problem.
In most cases, the LCD is dim when not plugged into an outlet to save energy. (It can make the laptop stay on an hour longer in some cases)
If you want to brighten the screen, and kill your battery time in the process, hold down the FN (function key) and press the button with a picture of a sun and a arrow pointing up. (both pictures should be light blue on your keys)
If you don't mind the dimness of your LCD, leave it alone. The brightness will return when you plug your laptop into an outlet.
The dimming is probably normal, especially if the motor is a split winding type that has a start and a run winding. Ususlly, it will use a capacitor also. You can view the wiring diagram to see if this is the case.
