I need to change the cmos battery because the tv doesn't keep correct time. What kind of battery and how to change it?

Televisions normally do not have CMOS batteries. They are normally plugged in and thus have a power source even when not turned on. If you use a power strip and disconnect power from the set when it is off, this would explain the clock not keeping time.

Right click the time. a box should pop open ...go to " Adjust Date/Time".. when that opens up go to "Internet time" at the " Sever" make sure your clock is set to " time-a.nist.gov "..if not set it to that then click Update !
I hope that has helped you out ! :)

The system clock will not stay set, when I turn off laptop the clock stops and calendar stops . I reset it every time I turn it back on so I receive all up to date updates . Windows updates are set to ...

You need to set the correct date and time in your system BIOS. To access that you need to press the correct key when the computer is first booted (usually DEL or F10/F2/F11).
Most computers will have a message stating press xx Key to enter setup or etc.
If this problem persists even after setting the correct time in your BIOS, your laptop needs a new CMOS battery. I recommend having a professional do this.

Sony vaio vgn-fs775p laptop real time clock not keeping time

Hi

thank you for your query

If the time is not keeping up then it would seem that you will need to change your CMOS battery, this is a small battery found on the motherboard responsible for clocking etc

The battery is cheap to purchase, however I do highly recommned the laptop be booked into a reputable PC shop for replacement as you will need to take the whole laptop apart to get the motherboard

I hope this has been helpful

My laptop says Time -of -day clock stopped when i turn it on

It sounds like the battery on your computer is dying, and the battery cannot keep the clock running. If Dell's warranty is still valid, contact Dell, to get your computer fixed/replaced.

Clock will not keep time comp..is only 4 weeks old plus the touch pad freezes up from time to time

Hi,
The reason the clock won't keep time and date is because the CMOS battery is dead, this battery inside the laptop keeps the date and time in the BIOS even when the laptop has no power to it.
I recommend you take the laptop back to where you bought it from or call the manufacturer as you are still covered by the warranty.
They will either arrange for the laptop to be sent in or send you to a service center.
It's also a good idea to mention that the touchpad freezes too.

Regards.

Inspiron laptop clock incorrect

Go into the BIOS by turning on the laptop and pressing F2. In there i believe on the main screen you can change the time and date. Do that, save changes and exit and then go into windows and see if it keeps the right time and date.

Let me know how it goes.
