HP 7680 All for one printing question

Hi : -
Just curious if anyone else has seen an issue while printing pdf files using Adobe Pro 8 to the 7680 All for one HP printer from Networked PC's. I'm not able to print pdf's using adobe pro 8 from Networked PC's. Only when I use a lower Adobe Version.... say Reader 7. Is this a known issue and what is the fix (if there is any)?

I basically have the same problem on the 7680. Once on the display of the printer it said folder full. I was scanning 9 pages and open the folder it was okay. Scan again and the new folder open up blank. I have found if the folder had 6k or less the scan pages would show. I don't know why, but I started doing 5 pages and combined the folder until some one can figure out the problem.

    Hi,

What was the error message you encounter when printing .pdf? If you can still remember the exact error message much better so that i can give you a possible solution. Also, have you tried to check if while printing .pdf file the pending documents is in the queue.

    I remain.

My hp inkjet 6500 won't print pdfs, won't print any adobe acrobat files

It sounds like an issue with your adobe acrobat reader, but a little more clarification is needed.
Does the PDF open in acrobat reader, or can you not even open them? (ie - are you right clicking the file then clicking print)
If attempting to print from adobe reader, is that when it's saying you have no printer?
Please be very specific, and reply to this post using the reply link please.

Can't type date into .pdf file and print with HP OFficejet 8500

Maybe it is because of your PDF file is encrypted by author with owner password. In this case, you can remove the password by AnyBizSoft PDF Password Remover, and then print it again.
Hope it helps.

Officejet pro K5400 won't print pdf files

If these are web-based PDF's this may well be your problem. There are code anomalies printing directly from a web page if it's a PDF-based file (on many HP models).

If this is directly from an Adobe PDF (non-web based) then you may need to update or reinstall the print drivers. Also, Adobe Acrobat versions vary on how well they will send print commands to various devices. Try to make sure you have a higher version of Adobe than 6.

HP OfficeJet 7680 will not print pdf files.

Put an Acrobat Reader to read your PDF, like version 8 or latest 9. To open a PDF is only an Acrobat Reader and can print also in it.
PDF file format are made and construct by an Adobe Professional software and have a realiable to save as your file into PDF, WORD & etc.

Links to Named Destinations Not Working

Ensure Acrobat 8 is fully updated (up through 8.1.4). Office 2007 support starts with Acrobat 8.1.0.

Some things to consider.

PDFMaker does not/cannot convert a file set as the target file for either a URI/URL or a UNC link path.

HP C6180 will not print a PDF document, causes paper jam.

The problem is an incompatibility between Adobe Acrobat and HP Photosoft software... the solution is to stop using Adobe Acrobat software as your primary PDF reader... to see why and what is the alternative continue reading...

I had several Windows XP laptop/netbook/desktops running on my home wireless network perfectly. Then I had to replace the desktop with Windows Vista, and that's where the problems started. Despite updating the HP driver software, the Photosmart printer would not work with the Vista machine unless it was physically connected through the USB port. But this solution created a new problem with the wireless XP machines, they would now cause a print jam every time I printed a PDF. I had Acrobat Reader on one machine and Acrobat Pro on the other. Any other file format would print fine... I could print a PDF from within Adobe Photoshop... and re-installing the old HP driver software eliminated the problem (but then the Vista machine wouldn't print anything)... thus the problem had to be Acrobat.

With the newest updated HP software in place I uninstalled Acrobat Reader and installed a freeware readers. THE PROBLEM WAS SOLVED. I tested three and all printed PDFs to the HP Photosmart printer with no problem. I tried Adobe Acrobat again, and it jammed. These freeware PDF readers are all small and fast compared to Acrobat which is big, bloated, and slow.

My suggestion is to use Foxit, which is the easiest and fastest, and seemes to work as a plugin with all the browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome). You can get it from trusted sites like CNET ( http://download.cnet.com/Foxit-Reader/3000-10743_4-10313206.html ) or from the company ( http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/reader/ ).

BTW, I do maintain Acrobat Pro on one machine because of the advanced features I use, but I configured it to not be the default PDF reader and print through Foxit on my home network.

By the way, ANYONE WHO SUGGESTS CONTACTING HP SUPPORT ABOUT PRINTERS THIS OLD IS BEING LAZY OR NOT PAYING ATTENTION... HP WON'T HELP UNLESS YOU PAY FOR THE INCIDENT, AND THEN THEY TELL YOU TO DO THE OBVIOUS (i.e., install new drivers) WHICH DOESN'T WORK, WHEREUPON THEY WILL SAY IT'S NOT AN HP PROBLEM BUT THE "OTHER GUYS" PROBLEM. Many people have played this game with HP before so don't waste your time and money expecting a different result.

The 1020 Has Known issues printing PDF files. The HP LJ 1020 is a HOST printer with NO SUPPORT for PS (post script) or PLC commands. Most users end up printing the PDFs as images. That was not a solution for us and we trashed our 1020 and went with another brand. Good luck.
