I don't know what model you have but, make sure the machine's level probe is clean and working or use the manual fill on the right side to fill boiler about an inch from Max fill line, then remove left side panel and look for a silver thin line covered in a green coating running from the element to a red reset switch. After putting water in the machine press the reset and turn the machine on.

Vacuum stopped working. I think it overheated and I cleaned it out really well. Still won’t start

These days many electrical appliances are protected by a thermal fuse or breaker so overheating will cause the circuit to be broken. The thermal breaker should in theory reset itself when the motor cools but that isn't always the case in practice. The thermal fuse needs replacing when it "blows".

It might be by complete coincidence something completely different but the only way to discover the fault is to dismantle the cleaner and check the circuit with a multimeter.

Micro won't work after boiling water under it all day

I am not sure what you mean by boiling water under it all day. If it was under the unit, it probably shorted it out and it won't work. If you were using it constantly to boil water, you may have overheated it. To be safe, please unplug it and call the manufacturer.

Engine overheating

Overheating can be extremely bad for a car. Back in the days of carburetors, when engines were made of steel, overheating was much more common, and less damaging. But the modern engine has far less tolerance, with its aluminum blocks and, often, aluminum heads.

Many head gaskets have been blown out by overheat issues. Many heads have been cracked. These are not cheap repairs. Therefore, be vigilant and watch that heat gauge (thermometer). If your car starts to overheat, pull to the side of the road, and let it idle (do not give it a fast idle - that only worked in the days before electric fans) and, if that does not seem to be working, shut it off.

Bohdan Bodnar wrote: "The 2.2/2.5 liter cooling systems *MUST* be purged of air before operation; otherwise, coolant flow blockage will result (i.e., hot, possibly REALLY hot, engine). Partial purging will cause the engine to run hotter than normal; the temperature will gradually drop to normal as the system purges itself over several days/weeks."

Overheating on Compaq Presario Notebook Model C501NR

OverheatingWhen the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermaloverload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is theproblem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are cloggedwith dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan.
If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make surethe vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed airto do this.

Epson PowerLite 410W projector (used for a smart board in a classroom) won't project anything or even turn on. Power button (maybe lamp indicator light? I don't really know anything about this...)...

It seems you assume that it is not an overheating problem.
The problem is, the bulb gets really, really hot when using the projector. It doesn't matter whether it has been there without any usage. As you switch it on, it will start to get hot.
But the lamp or other parts of the projector should not get too hot. To control the temperature, air is moved through the projector with the help of fans. Air enters through air filters and move through the projector absorbing heat from hot parts. This prevents these parts from getting overheated.
But what if air doesn't flow freely? Then the parts CAN get overheated.
First, switch on the projector and check whether you can hear the fans working.
Next, switch off the projector and remove power cable.
After about 30 minutes, remove the cover and check whether the air filters are blocked. If they are, clean them with a small brush.
This would probably solve your problem.
