I cannot turn on my tv to disable the timer light. It continues to blink without pause. I have unplugged it and done system reset, several times. No change. Please advise.

This problem on these tv's can be caused by a couple of things one is some bad caps in the power supply the other is the bad caps in the dmd board then in that case you normally would need to have the dmd chassis replace at a repair center.

Sony LCD TV Red LED light constantly blinking

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

My 52" Mitsubitshi Diamond series will not turn on. It has a blinking green light that says timer underneath and the system reset button had not effect either. The TV is only six years old and rarely...

Probably a blown pico fuse on the circuit board, convergence amplifier issue, or blown HOT transistor. Could also be a solder connection on the pc board other bad component. Count the blinks and note any pauses in blinking. This could be a trouble code. Type into google your tv and model number and the words "troublecode ## " if you had one or "steady blinking green light" if it just continuously blinks wit no pauses. See where that takes you... Hope that helps some.

TV picture went out. stand by/timer light blinks when I turn on the TV. no other response from TV.

The timer light blinks representing the fault on the tv. If the tv blinks in an orderly fashion then the number of blinks before pausing is used to indicate the fault. This can only be determined by looking at the service manual for that set. If the blinking is continuous without pauses after a number of blinks, then it indicates there is a problem and the first place to look would be in the power supply. Either the power supply isnt supplying power to the Line output transformer i.e an open circuit or short circuit..OR the line output circuit has a short. Without a diagram i cannot guide you which components to check..but..swollen topped capacitors in the power supply are a give away :)
