The felt door stripping can out of the dryer and cannot remove the front of the dryer to replace felt strip. Any advice on how to remove front?

First, UNPLUG the unit from the wall please. Next, open the door, and on the inside top of the door area in the cabinet, you will see either 2 or 4 screws holding down the top of the dryer. Remove these screws, then lift the top off. Now, looking down inside the cabinet, you will see as screw on either side, towards the top that holds the front onto the cabinet. Remove these two screws, then fold the front down towards you, and lift slightly to remove the front from the slats at the bottom. Use caution, because more than likely you will still have wires attached going to the thermostats, door switch, etc. Also be sure when replacing the felt, you use a lot of caution around metal edges. These things are razor sharp, and will put a deep cut on you in less than a second. Let me know if you need further help or information. Thanks and Good Luck!!!!
