Question about iLO MP3 Player

1 Answer

MP3 flash players

I have an older computer that I really am comfortable with, running windows 2000, but am beginning to have isssues with compatability because it is so much older than everyone else's. Which of the decent 2MB flash players out there might be compatible with my system? I really had my heart set on the new sansa clip, in the 2MB or 4MB size, but the specs on the site I was on say it requires a minimum of windows XP. Is this true, or is there a way to make this work? Thanks for any advice you may be able to give.

Hello, and thanks for responding! I was afraid that was my only option with a sansa clip. Oh, well.

I am going to try what seems to be the less expensive option. I downloaded the appropriate itunes program, 7.2 I think, and called apple to see if I could get a shuffle that would work with all this. The fact that itunes contains the driver for an ipod is great. They still have original shuffles that are compatible available, and it should be here in two more days.

If this all works properly together, For only $82 I should have a working portable music collection, as opposed to about $260.

    Thanks again,

My Samsung YP-S2 Mp3 player can't be recognised by computers when I plug it in through the usb input (it used to work), therefore I'm not able to upload music on it anymore. How can I fix this bug?

Samsung Player Is No Longer Detected By Windows XP, Vista, Emodio Or
Samsung Media Studio.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When your computer doesn't recognize your Samsung MP3 player, programs
such as Samsung Media Studio (SMS), Emodio, Windows Media Player
(10 or 11) do not allow you to transfer files to your player.
In SMS and Emodio, the portable icon appears grayed out.
In Windows Media Player, you are prompted to connect a device.
Your PC may fail to recognize your player for a variety of reasons.
To begin troubleshooting, scroll down, and then click the operating
system your computer is currently running.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
General Operating System Information
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
On Windows computers, Samsung MP3 players require at least Windows XP
Service Pack 2. If you have an older operating system such as Windows
2000 or Windows 98, your computer won't recognize your player until you
upgrade your PC to at least Windows XP Service Pack 2.
If your PC is running Linux or MAC, it will not recognize some MP3
players that support only MTP mode. However, it will recognize players
that support UMS mode and list them as mass storage devices.
The following Samsung MP3 players support UMS: YP-U1, YP-U2, YP-U3,
YP-U4, YP-U5, and YP-S2.
The following Samsung MP3 players support both MTP and UMS mode: YP-Z5
and YP-P3.
Windows Vista may fail to detect you device if the player is not
connected properly, Windows Media Player is not installed or has become
corrupted, Vista is unable to install the MTP drivers, or the MTP patch
is not installed.
You can check it out further by going to this website and entering the information about your player

Deleting songs from a Coby MPC855 player

Hello,
When using Windows Media Player 11 as this is common for the MPC885, you can delete songs running this software and making connection from the player to the computer using the provided USB cable.
In the Library menu of WMP11, the Coby player should show up on the left side in the list.
When clicking Music in the left corner of the second bar on top of WMP11, all music shows up from preselected synchronization maps on the computer plus the player.
Click on the player to see the content and delete the songs you'd like to remove.

Only setup guide available for this player:

Sansa e260 wont be detected by computer

I assume that you are running an older version of Windows from XP/2000. If you can get on the internet, go to Sansa's site and download the driver from there. Here is a link http://mp3support.sandisk.com/sansa/SMC

My mp3 doesnt connect into my usb it just disconnects and starts to charge can you help me

I assume from your description that either you are running a version of Windows older than XP/2000 or you need a special driver. Here is a link for the driver(s) you will need. Just enter your model number and select your version of Windows. Download and run the file and you should be up and running shortly.

Can't Add files to mp3 after reinstalling-device not found.

I have an older ZEN, so I'm not sure if I have Creative Media Source 5, but mine never worked really well either. My Windows Media Player recognizes mine, so I just sync to that library. I even have gotten a new laptop since I got my ZEN and I never downloaded anything, I just connected it to Window's Media. I hope that's helpful!

RCA

Is your version of Windows earlier than Windows 2000/SP3? If so, the software will not run.
Are you running Windows Vista? If so, refer to RCA's website for making software compatible at:

Plug it in on your computer running Windows Vista to see if the computer detects it. If not try this:

Refer to the product vendor if it's compatible with Windows Vista. If it isn't, you can configure the compatibility wizard for older drivers.
