Thank you for the reply, I tried your suggestion which did not fix the issue I thought I had. Come to find out, the keys DO respond, if you hold them down for approximately one second. I got on the phone with Dell Tech support and we have determined that it is a windows software issue because the keyboard responded as it should during a boot-up diagnostic. I am in the process of backing up my hard drive and reinstalling the OS per Dell tech support to see if that remedies the issue. Thanks again.

Certain letter keys give me numbers instead of the letter on my verbatim wireless keyboard and mouse

Sounds like NUMlock, or another function key like that. Are those numbers on the keys themselves? That's a common problem for laptop keyboards that do not have number pads.

HOW DO i TAKE THE EEE PC KEYS FROM NUMBERS TO LETTERS?

Most likely the Number Lock is on (this is a small format keyboard and the 10 key number pad is sharing space with the letters). If this is the keyboard on the EEE, try pressing FN+Num LK. See http://support.asus.com if you need to check other keyboard issues like reinstalling the ACPI driver.

If the keyboard is one you added, you still need to find the NumLock key. Check the Logitech site if the above subject area is correct. (Just in case you need to use a Function key to force the lock to go off.)

I hope this helps.

(Look for the NumLock key to the right of the function keys or near other keys like Pause/Break)

Numbers don't respond

If you are trying to use the numbers in the numpad, Then make sure the Numlock is on. Even after this if the numbers are not appearing then, Install the key board driver given in the CD or through the company web site. Even after that if the key board is not functioning then, you may need to take the key board to a technician. May be a possible crack in the keyboards circuit board.

Mouse and keyboard aren't working

have you tried downloading a newer driver for your computer? you might have to find drivers for both the mouse and your key board. make sure your numlocks is on for the keyboard to work, and make sure that in your control panel under hardware and sound check their for your mouse connections.

Keys must be pressed repeatedly, mouse is jerky, websites zoom max.

Try reinstalling the software and get back to me. Also make sure there is no source of interference, like a strong electromagnetic field nearby (speakers, etc).

Keyboard & Mouse Problem

Seems like you Ctrl-key is pressed all the time somehow.
Make sure that none of the Ctrl-keys is stuck.
If you try another keyboard, everything should work fine, so just check your keyboard. Maybe you need to replace it.
