Question about MP3 & Digital Media Players

I've recently emptied everything off my iriver pmp 120 and when i check the available hard drive space it says i've only got 4gb left although its a 20gb hard drive i've run windows disk clean up and checked for any hidden files but it still saying there's is only 4 gb left. Any ideas?

It sounds like it is most likely full. Or close to it. 20GB'S isn't that much space anymore. More like 1 TB IS. GURU Jay

I need to recover the data from my PMP-120 (hard drive is removed)


That's because it's a Toshiba 1.8" zif drive.

Adaptors/ enclosures are available on the web.

If the drive is still working once you've taken your data off then sell it. Used 20Gb 1.8" drives are going for about £30+

Boot failure or just nothing?

Boot failure would be the hard disk.
Just nothing would indicate that the system board is dead.

You don't mention using the mains power adaptor.

Iriver pmp 120 use the wrong charger


try this. the iriver doesn't boot at times ( wrong charger or using the right charger abroad), unlatch the battery and hold down the power button for about 20 seconds. also reset the instrument. hopefully that might work for you.
