Red light on printer button on and message reading follow instructions in right cover to remove. I follewd the instructions and the message is still displayed what do i do to fix? it wont allow me to copy...

Hi! If there is a printer with door problems, this is one! Lets presume you have a paper jam, even if you dont see it. The bit of paper can be stuck in this three points: paper cassete, register sensor and fusion sensor.paper sensor gets damaged very often in this machine but the message will be " out of paper". The register sensor ( it tells the machine the paper arrived to the register roller and it can start cordinate paper movement with scanner movement, a question of syncronous efforts),lyes in the right cover, it looks like two small eyes, they must be cleaned. The fuser sensor, tells the machine the paper arrived there without problems but also says it already got out, once the paper comes out. the fusion must be opened to check this.
Now, this machine have problems in the door switch, you will see a square hole at the left side of the machine (presuming your facing it with the right door open turned to you) somewhere at half way.theres a switch inside that is actuated by a proeminence in the right door, once closed. If this actuator is broken the machine will keep telling you "close right door".If you see its broken, insert a small screw diver and press in, the machine will start to work and the message disapears, If the case, you have to "Reconstruct " the actuator, in order to touch and actuate the inner switch. Sometimes i do this just puting a screw through the plastic. Other choice is to order a new cover, these actuactors are very fragil. Also the latch that keeps door well shut.you wanna try to push the right door in, sometimes is enought. Hope i been helpfull, sorry my (bad) english. Come to me again if you got no improvement.

Keeps coming up paper jam code 3528 new printer no paper in back cover removed no jam found

There may be a small piece of paper in the back that is causing the sensor to give you the error message.

Printers give jam messages when a sensor is being blocked by and object.

If there is no paper causing this, you probably have a sensor problem.

Try unplugging the printer and plugging it back in.

MACHINE DO NOT COPY AND GIVE THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE: (A ZIGZAG SYMBOL) WITH "FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTION"

Sounds like the 'Clear misfeed' symbol. Open the front cover and follow the pictorial diagram instructions to check your paper feed path for jammed paper. Remove misfeed, and close covers. This should reset your machine.

IT'S AN EPSON STYLUS CX6600 NOT 6000. I'M SORRY IF I TYPED IT INCORRECTLY. AL

Don't worry about the model, same instructions

Clean the machine, the rollers also and follow these steps to clear out any paper jams it might have

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.
  3. Also open the back cover of the printer if this model has one.
  4. Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.
  5. If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it away from light/ sun light to avoid damaging it.
  6. If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.
  7. If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper. Don't force anything, though. Do this step especially if the jam message comes up repeatedly without any obvious paper jam, there may be a small tear of paper inside.
  8. Ones the printer is free of paper Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.
  9. If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.
  10. see alternative if the problem is still not solved.

alternative :
Load a piece of thick paper, for example photo paper and press the resume button (may be diffrent button on diffrent models) a few times to the printer picks up the paper and puts it through the machine.
