My dvd player is beginning to scramble the picture and the sound is jumbling like a scrambled signal..What could this be and what can possibly fix it. It is properly secured and i use the cigarette lighter adapter for power so that it doesn't power on all the time while i am driving.

It looks like a stand alone dvd player from the picture and there is no sound power so to speak for those units just a left and right audio signal ( Red and White ) Yellow is for video of course. Make sure you have the red and white audio OUT going into the INPUT of your power ( your main radio ) and as long as your radio is working correctly you should have sound. Some of those stand alone units come with a 3.5 mm or 1/8 jack and you have to make sure which is audio and which is video and get them to the right inputs of your radio. if that doesn't work check your radio am/fm or cd player and if sound works with them it is probably not getting the audio signal correctly. Good Luck !
One of two things are happening. Either you have the video cable connected to the wrong input on your tv and it needs to be switched or you are not choosing the right input signal choice to watch your dvd's.
If you are using rca jacks, you might have connected the video jack to an audio input. Try reversing them. If you are not using RCA jacks then you probably have chosen the wrong input method. Click through input choices on your remote until you get a picture and sound at the same time.
