Hi zbuzz
yes you can surely have the same XP home edition on your laptop too .
And for the installation thing as you are saying that you are not a whiz ,you dont mind installation at the vendor's place .It won't cost you much difference as installing it urself without knowing much can do much harm.

happy laptopping

Waiting for ur fixya

Hi

U can install the windows in laptop also.. But with one condition that u do not connect the laptop to the internet.. If u want to connect means u have to turnoff the automatic updates in ur computer.. My best suggestion is u buy a laptop with preloaded OS.. Because Windows XP home edition will not support some options.. Better u buy a preloaded laptop..

yes it is possible, but your install windows must be the same as the one that came with the laptop. ex. if it was home edition - cd with home edition you need.
usually on a label pasted on the back of the laptop, where the serial number is written -
is written and the type of windows installed.

I need to know how to install Windows XP on Mac. Thank you!

The easiest, and my personal favorite, is to use Parallels Desktop for Mac:
http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/

If you're not into desktop virtualization (running an OS inside of another OS at the same time), you can do something called dual boot, in which you'll have the option after you turn the computer on to use either Windows XP or Mac. You'll have to reboot everytime you want to switch, though.

Remember to keep a current backup of your data before attempting a Windows XP installation.

Need new product key code 25 car.

If your computer was originally shipped with Windows XP pre-installed, then just read the 25-character key from the sticker on the bottom (for a laptop) or on the side/back (for a desktop) of your computer.

Windows XP drivers for Sony VAIO Laptop

There is no easy answer for this type of question, unfortunately. The best I can do is offer some advice. While installing XP is always possible, and most of the time preferred by the user, not all of the hardware will work every time with every computer. That's just a disclaimer. Try clicking "Cancel" to proceed. If that doesn't help try entering computer name in both user and password fields.

May your printer doesn't fit to your operating system because Windows Vista is one of the complicated OS and hard to find installer or software to fit it in. Try to Replace your operating system that same as your brother have. maybe it can fix your problem!
