DVD RW problem

I am using Windows Vista and Roxio 10. I have Sony DVD Writer Dual Layer.
When I am trying to format Sony DVD RW 1x-2x, it takes 10 -15 mins but unable to complete the formatting. And I am also unable to write any file on this DVD rw disc.
I am able to write DVD R, CD R, and CD RW easily.
How can I write DVD RW disc?

Please use nero version nero 7.0 or you can get new version nero 8.0 from www.soft82.com/download/Windows/Nero

It will solve your problem its beter if you get cracked version of nero 7.0 from bit torent or bearshare

Refuses to burn dual layer disks. Have tried different brands of disk but still comes up with the same response, media error! Please help me

Find, download, and install the latest "firmware" for the Sony DVD-writer -- if the unit does not recognize the special "tags" written onto the 1st record of each "blank" dual-layer disk, you need the latest firmware.

U can use nero, first of all you must format de DVD-RW, so that it can be be rewritable. Then use it like a normar DVD-R disk. And every time you want to rewrite the DVD only make a quickformat and put your things on the DVD.

My SONY DRU-810A DVD Writer doesn't work with TDK DVD+RW Disc

some dvd brands dont work with all dvd writers, so your option is to try another make, if that works ok then it's not a writer fault it is just that the media make is not compatable. if you start to see problems with all makes of disc then the writer laser is faulty and a replacement drive neccasary.
