Re: cant get pictures on pc
If your PC is a current one 98SE/ME/2000/XP The PC will see the camera as an addition drive when plugged in. The PC will put up the Scanner/Camera Wizard and ask what you need to do with the images. If this is not happening. Check out the following. Is the Supplied Camera Software loaded - id it is Remove it It is preventing Windows doing what it do all by its self Assuming the camera is set up to upload.
Try all this and come back if no joy we can go further..

Hello: Your problem is the ccd problem. This problem has been in many kinds of digital cameras made with Sony ccds. The following link will show you what to do. Send it to Canon. They will pay postage to and from the repair facility and fix it free for you, if that is indeed the problem. I have sent in a few of these cameras with the same problem. http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=PgComSmModDisplayAct&keycode=2112&fcategoryid=221&modelid=8776 Hope it all works out.
It's very hard to troubleshoot software problems online, and it likely is a software issue. But why put up with the headaches of bad software in the first place? Please see the following blog article, as it describes the use of a card reader as a much easier, faster, and less error prone way to download your photos. In fact there are several important reasons discussed in the article for using a card reader vice downloading from the camera. USB Card readers are also very inexpensive these day, with cost virtually not an issue:
So first you connect the cord to the camera then to the computer tower. Then you Take out the disk.DO NOT LEAVE IT IN!!!!!!! wait for it to load then when it does you'll have to click next, next, then finish. In a few days go to the file you loaded them on. then insert the disk and click burn pictures
I would ask someone like a specialist to see these directions before you proceed
