Question about Epson AcuLaser C900 Printer
Its always a good idea to search for and read a few reviews of current owners of a printer/device before buying one.
Sorry to say, but the c900 didn't get really good reviews from other people who bought the printer. The general feeling about the printer is that it's consumables (rollers, photoconductive unit, pick-up rollers, separation pads, ext.) are of poor quality and needs to be replaced quite frequently.
Some of the reviewers argue that this is where the manufacturer makes their profit. They can sell the printer at a loss (taking into account the price of the printer) knowing that they will make a profit on the amount of consumables the owners are forced to buy over the operating life of the printer.
Keep in mind that one of the rollers could be malfunctioning even if they all seem intact upon a visual inspection. So it comes down to servicing the printer yourself or taking it to a PC repair shop where it can be serviced by an IT technician.
