I can not get 7.1 HDMI audio output on my Gateway GM5664 running Windows 7.

While DVI and HDMI offer compatible video lines, the DVI connection offers support for two analog audio channels only and cannot transport data packets required for digital audio. You will not get anything beyond 2.1 audio across the dongle.

If you have a HDMI connector on your graphics board and your external hardware, try to use a proper HDMI cable.

We connected a data projector to the VGA port of the MPC All in One, and restarted the computer. During boot we got display on the projector 2 times. Later during the boot - loading Windows XP Pro the...

Right click on the desktop, click Properties, click Settings and in there click on the square with the 2 in it - it represents the projector. Enable it, set the default resolution of the projector, make sure the Extend... option is ticked and click Apply. Now it will work - to use it just drag the window of whatever program you want to it. Drag it back before closing it.

Projector only displays desktop wall paper not laptop images

stop the dual monitor moded and it will project what is on the Desktop screen

for this right click on desktop -> properties -> (on the window) Settings here take away the check box for "Extend my Windows desktop to this monitor" and you can have what ever is displayed on your desktop on the screen

but if you keep the the existing setup then you can just drag the windows to the right or left edges and it will move on to the screen and you can use the projector image as an extended monitor, this will be useful when you want to have your presentation and your background work/ Document seperate from the viewing audience, try it you may like it

cheers

I have a new Macbook Pro and am giving a presentation tomorrow using a Dell 2200mp projector. I cannot get it to sync up and the only cable which works as far as I can see is the USB. HELP!!

Macbooks are equipped with a mini-dvi port this is what you will utilize to send a video signal to your projector first thing you need to figure out is what input is on you projector either it is dvi or vga then go to best buy and get a mini dvi to vga adapter it is only for macs let me know how it comes out

Problems with optoma dx625 projector - can't display single picture and keep thumbnail file open on computer

i think it's not a problem with your projector, but more a problem with how you extend your desktop from your computer to your projector. I assume that you are plugging in through Svideo so right click on the desktop and click on properties, then go to the settings panel, then click once on the big number 2 and click on apply, if this doesn't fix it, go to that same settings panel and change the resolution to 800x600
