I lost power to car battery on my Honda Fit and when it was working again audio system wouldnt work as it keeps asking for programme disc. It is a Gathers CD Tuner Navigation System -034C GA11 Programme disc and is fitted with 6 disc cd changer. Any help in finding a disc for this system would be greatly appreciated.

SOURCE: do they make adapters so the cd changer will fit

CD changers can be made to run on adapters. There are adapters availible that switch into the cigarette lighter socket with ratings of 50w,100w.Or else if its for a small cd changer, check current rating of the cd changer.ideally the voltager rating would be 12v.Then purchase an adapter with the given specific current and voltage rating. And use it with ur cd changer.

SOURCE: Cd changer will not work

I had the same problem with my 2002 307SW.
I read on another forum to switch ignition off, remove CD changer from dash and disconnect. It then told me to remove the lid from the case unscrewing the screws marke 1 to 5 then remove the Cd's. The only problem with this is you need a special size 'star' driver bit which i did not have at home and could not unscrew them. What i did was to use a terminal screwdriver in the 2 larger screws that fasten the front plastic cover on the unit. Once I had done that I could remove the CD's.
I then connected the changer back up and inserted it back into the dash. I then powered the radio back up anf loaded a CD and the problem had gone away so I loaded the 5 CD slots and everything works fine now.

SOURCE: 6-Disc CD Changer is not working

Unfortunately most times with these 6-disc systems once it quits working it is usually time for a new unit. The manufacturers all reccomend reprogramming the radio, but this rarely does anything other than waste your time and money. Go for the new radio.

How can I program my 2006/7 Honda accord radio, lost memory after removing the battery and replacing new one.

Your car’s audio system will disable itself if it is disconnected from electrical power for any reason. To make it work again, you must enter a specific five-digit code in the Preset buttons. Because there are hundreds of number combinations possible from five digits, making the system work without knowing the exact code is nearly impossible.
You should have received a card with your manual (if you have one) that lists your audio system’s code number and serial number. If you don't have the card, you can get the code number from your Honda dealer, but to do this, you will need the system’s serial number.
If your car’s battery is disconnected or goes dead, or the radio fuse is removed, the audio system will disable itself. If this happens, you will see ‘‘Code’’ in the frequency display the next time you turn on the system. Use the Preset buttons to enter the five-digit code. If it is entered correctly, the radio will start playing.
Hope this is helpful.
