I also have the flashing lights and can solder, is there a certain piece or part I need to replace or what kind of simple tester could I use to find out which needs work or replaced? My email is firewalker3@netzero.net I would appreciate any help you can supply me with. Thank you very much for your assistance

If you can't solder you will likely have to take it to a service center. Ours would repair it for about $60 + parts. You should be able to get simular price in your area.

I have a broken Dell Precision 470 Workstation. The symptoms are as follows: Won't power up; Flashing yellow power LED on front panel; Blank STR_LED on motherboard; Yellow AUX_PWR LED on motherboa

Flashing front powerlight is often a result of a faulty powersupply, try another powersully on the pc and see if the problem gets solved. I've seen a few of these cases personally.

Dell 1702FP gets off automatically or lose power by itself!

i think the power cord to your monitor is not fixed tightly. check the connections. or else the power On / Off button could have got damaged. replace it with the new one. if still the problem exists, servicing of the monitor will be the solution to it.
please rate my solution.
have a nice day.

Dell 1702FP 17" shows nothing after Radeon HD 2600 put in.

Is the card plugged into the (PCI/AGP) slot correctly? Did you disable the onboard video in the bios? Also be sure to check in windows device manager and check for the graphics card to appear there.

Dell 1702FP 'tearing' after warmup

It might be a failing electrlytic or a heat-related issue with a transistor in the power supply, or it may be a problem in the video board. Sounds like will need good old-fashioned component-level troubleshooting.
