Question about Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Hazy photos I've been disappointed with the photo quality with my dmc-tz3. Often the photos look filmy or hazy, and the problem gets worse in bright conditions. I've played around with the ISO which helps a bit when shooting in bright sun. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

I assume you are not shooting into sun. Try shooting with camera in its default settings and mode set to Auto Normal.

I need the program to be able to download and print photos from my DMC-TZ3, can you help?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as iPhoto on a Mac or Windows Photo Gallery or Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ) on Windows.

Any of the above-mentioned programs will also print your photos (assuming, of course, that you have a photo-quality printer).

My camera canon powershot A430 is giving hazy pictures

This may sound silly, but have you checked the front lens element on the camera, a thick layer of fingerprints will give you hazy photos and what can look like over exposure in bright conditions.

Bluish colour with Lumix TZ3

I found 2 different Lumix TZ3 cameras.
http://www2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/PNAEndecaSearchCmd?N=779832097+250033510&Ne=&Ns=&Nr=12001&No=0&Ntt=tz3&Ntk=SupportSearch&URL=vSupportSearch&cmTag=false&cm_sp=&cn=&catalogId=13401&storeId=15001

In the manual, I couldn't find a reference to a bluish color.

In FAQ's, I found the following:
What is “Intelligent Auto Mode” (or IA Mode)?
“IA mode” automatically activates MEGA O.I.S., Intelligent ISO Control, Face Detection, Intelligent Scene Selector, Intelligent Exposure, and Quick Auto Focus to match your subject and shooting situation. IA Mode is a great mode for beginning photographers

Gray cloudy spot in center of photos;distorted light streaks

Time for another. Sell yours to a repairman in an ebay auction, keeping your accessories, and buy a working used on without accessories cheap.

Or this may be a good time to either buy another TZ3 refurb w/warranty(90 days I think) or a new one one Ebay. They are very reasonable since being replaced with the newer TZ5.

Panasonic DMC-TZ3 72 dpi problem

Sounds like Photoshop's setting, or default setting, is to import picture at its maximum size. If you RESIZE pic on Photoshop, it shoud automatically increase DPI while reducing physical size.

The other thing to be aware, TZ3 defaults to a certain jpg compression. You can minimize compression of data with settings options on TZ3, but I doubt this has anything to do with your PhotoShop issue.

Also, in SIMPLE mode you can select a physical size for photo, even after pic is taken(resize), on camera.

Hopes this helps.

You probably changed a setting or were taking photos in low light. If you take a photo in the middle of the day, in full-automatic mode, is it still hazy? Maybe you got something on your lens?

First try to take photo in a sunlight, if the photo is still hazy then clean the lense and make sure you dont put your finter anywhere in front of the camera.

If the photo is still hazy then it could in internal camera fault.

If the photo is fine in the sun but its blurry in the dark then take photo with flash if thats ok then you just need more lighting.

Also make sure the ISO Rating is auto or 100 many people set ISO to 800 and then forget about it. It causes hazy photos in the dark
